Point taken Cari but I hope HQ understand the frustration of those of us who post on a serious issue - like serious threats to the safety of our MPs and then have that post followed immediately by one his many inane contributions?

HQ staff are not volunteers GG and it’s perfectly reasonable to expect some staff to be on duty - which they clearly are and that’s fine.

I understand your annoyance, maryeliza but is it alright to accuse somebody of being mentally ill just because they're succeeding in winding you up?

Also * Cari* just seeing one or two of his posts does not do justice to the damage and disruption he is causing on several threads and at very regular intervals.The odd one looks a bit jokey perhaps but the collective impact is something else

CariGransnet I thought someone had reported him before and you had given him the green light? Is this true? His posts are seriously disrupting several threads, do not contribute to the discussions in any way shape or form and are either deliberately malicious in intent in which case he should be banned for the collective good or he’s mentally ill and should be banned for his own good?

I’ve now reported about 10 of his most recent posts and self reported my last post to letHQ know what I’m doing - I’ll probably get into trouble now so would value some back up. If he were posting pro Remain views can you imagine the response he would get but because he’s a Leave supporter he just gets away with it

What I’ve decided to do is report every one of this idiot’s posts to HQ without comment. If anyone would join me in this it might help

Ginny I absolutely agree - can you self report your post to HQ so they can read it? This sorry excuse for a human being is on multiple threads interrupting the flow of serious debate. Whether we ignore him or not he sails on - he should be banned IMO and I’m staggered that HQ think it’s totally acceptable what he’s doing. Does anyone else agree and want to report him

I now think the frivolous tone of the previous poster is reaching the point of abuse. This is not humour, it is destructive nonsense in an attempt to trash another poster's serious assessment of events making public figures objects of vile verbal and physical abuse and even murder, as in the case of Jo Cox.

The content of Maryeliza54's message is not a joke. It should be treated as serious comment on the situation which is a cause for alarm in right-minded citizens.

Yes crystal for a variety of reasons and over a period of time, threats and abuse towards certain groups of MPs has existed. Diane Abbot has individually suffered more threats and abuse than any other single MP and yet when she was treated with complete contempt by Fiona Bruce on QT, it was just accepted as a bit of a joke by many. Being female/black/Jewish made you a more likely target for different reasons. Now being a Remain MP is in the mix and males as well. Yet the recent hassling of AS as she walked into the House had some very unsympathetic responses on here. Emily M disgraceful ‘eye roll’ when talking to Barry G was similarly discounted by many. And then TM ‘speech’ basically making MPs the enemy of the people. It’s all hopeless isn’t it - the tone of public discourse is beyond redemption. The BBC is free to ridicule politicians ( as opposed to rigorously challenging their views by being well briefed), MSM can call judges ‘enemies of the people’ and completely rubbish the Speaker - not by a careful analysis of his ruling but simply by the headline ‘Bollocks to Bercow’. He was followed in the street by a BBC reporter who was praised for his ‘journalism’ and again many found this totally acceptable. And then TM rather than leading and supporting joins in the rabble rousing. We seem to be spiralling into - well what? TM seems to have made some mollifying remarks re her ‘speech’ but it’s too late - genies and bottles and all that. Many of us are in despair

Nowhere have I disagreed with the fact that Jewish, black, female MPs have always had threats and abuse. Just saying it’s got worse for all MPs. Surely we shouldn’t be tolerating or accepting any abuse or threats of this kind wherever it comes from?

Crystalips. MP’s are saying they are in danger and this is proof, yet Corbyn supporters have never spoken out and said the same about Jewish MP’s even when there has been proof. Seems threats to MP’s who are Jews are not important

I have mentioned numerous times on other threads when I have bashed away at those who deny/denied Labour MP's were being bullied/harassed and intimidated by their own party.
