CBI/TUC joint letter to May

I never thought I’d see the day when the CBI and TUC were in agreement. At least they both have their priorities right.

The petition to revoke Article 50 is now over 1 million.

Even if it has taken them 2 years to sit up and take notice.
It was always in the interests of business and industry that we remained !!

I wonder whether any previous PM has received such a letter. However I doubt she will take a blind bit of notice - she is on a roll and happy to crash at the bottom of the hill.

And she and her well heeled chums will not suffer at all

I am pretty sure that either Frances O'Grady or Carolyn Fairbairn would have made a better PM than Theresa May.

But that’s a pretty low bar tbf varian

I think she now has the best possible reason to backtrack without losing any more face. She simply says she's tried (Who could say she hasn't?) and she is prepared to listen and hand the decision back to the people.

Frances O'Grady and Carolyn Fairbairn were interviewed on Channel 4 news and were completely united in their view that a no-deal brexit would be utterly disastrous.

And utterly grown up as well as seeming authentic
