I've been to a garden party at the palace and might throw that in at dinner parties. Shame I never go to dinner parties. smile

Mind you, when we were children, our mum dragged all six of us out to watch the queen visiting our area. The queen was behind schedule and whizzed past so quickly that we hardly caught a glimpse. Mum had to cart us all back home again!

GabriellaG54 Mon 06-May-19 18:49:44

I think so too as, at best, you only get a fleeting glimpse as they pass by or head for their car.
Standing in freezing weather, as some do, isn't my idea of a day out.
Still, it gives some people the chance to say 'Guess who I saw today?' at the dinner table. grin

I posted on here once that I could never understand why people congregate outside places when things like this happen. Someone replied 'because they want to' which is fair enough. Seems a very odd thing to do.

One of the baby balloons brought to Windsor by a member of the public doesn't look to be very PC to me. hmm

Floradora9 Mon 06-May-19 17:46:33

Why on earth do people congregate in Windsor waiting for news ? Have they not got jobs or better things to do ?I wonder what the old Queen Mother would have made of it her grandson marrying a divorced woman . I am happy for Harry that he seems to have found happiness with Megan but remember we are all paying for their their lavish lifestyle while people are increasingly using foodbanks because they cannot get enough to eat.

Congratulations to the Duke & Duchess of Sussex, as long as Mother and Baby are ok everything else is insignificant.

Anniebach Mon 06-May-19 16:23:08

Doubt it, Mr Markle hasn’t even met his son in law

crazyH Mon 06-May-19 16:03:47

I'm thinking of Mr Markle....I wish this baby will bring them together

Anniebach Mon 06-May-19 15:59:54

Spencer , a middle name ?

crazyH Mon 06-May-19 15:58:54

Oh MrP - that did make me chuckle

Pittcity Mon 06-May-19 15:54:59

It's a Bank Holiday so The Telegraph news desk was short staffed.....

MawBroonsback Mon 06-May-19 15:46:10

Indeed it might GG and then again, it might not.
Does your Windsor plumber have any insider info?

Kandinsky Mon 06-May-19 15:41:41

I’ve actually cried a little bit.
So happy for them ❤️

Pittcity Mon 06-May-19 15:41:11

It's George Clooney's birthday today too Anniebach

Day6 Mon 06-May-19 15:39:07

I wonder if poor Mr Markle was informed? Or does he have to find out like the rest of us?

Anniebach Mon 06-May-19 15:30:56

They can’t name him after bestest friend George Clooney

Of all the Windsor names we can be 100% sure it will not be
James .

A new little life

GabriellaG54 Mon 06-May-19 15:30:52

The baby will probably have 3 names and one might be Francis as Frances Diana's middle name.

Lily65 Mon 06-May-19 15:25:01

I'm guessing Wayne, Lee or Tyler.

Juliette Mon 06-May-19 15:23:46

Congratulations to them both. DGS2 is eighteen today.
Granny’s little prince. ????

Mycatisahacker Mon 06-May-19 15:22:10

Wish them all the very best of course he did look genuinely overwhelmed.

I feel so sad for Diana that she’s missed all this.

seacliff Mon 06-May-19 15:18:58

Oh sweet, he looked over whelmed but very happy.

Badenkate Mon 06-May-19 15:11:02

Bless him, he looked thrilled to bits

Harris27 Mon 06-May-19 15:10:35

Thank goodness it's over all the rumours!!!!
