Mind you, when we were children, our mum dragged all six of us out to watch the queen visiting our area. The queen was behind schedule and whizzed past so quickly that we hardly caught a glimpse. Mum had to cart us all back home again!
I think so too as, at best, you only get a fleeting glimpse as they pass by or head for their car. Standing in freezing weather, as some do, isn't my idea of a day out. Still, it gives some people the chance to say 'Guess who I saw today?' at the dinner table.
I posted on here once that I could never understand why people congregate outside places when things like this happen. Someone replied 'because they want to' which is fair enough. Seems a very odd thing to do.
Why on earth do people congregate in Windsor waiting for news ? Have they not got jobs or better things to do ?I wonder what the old Queen Mother would have made of it her grandson marrying a divorced woman . I am happy for Harry that he seems to have found happiness with Megan but remember we are all paying for their their lavish lifestyle while people are increasingly using foodbanks because they cannot get enough to eat.
