The Farage rally was a one off. Fairly local, went with friends and booked a hotel meal for afterwards.
I used to live in Virginia Water so it was also a chance to take a peek at the house I still have there and see if the Monkeys Forehead pub still exists.

He's not exactly my kinda guy either but I'm voting for the 'party' who wants to get leavers out of the EU.
You may not like the way someone looks but if something they say resonates, you may decide that it's worth hearing the whole story.

When someone you've known for years needs a companion to accompany her on a long journey because her son cannot go, then you do your best whether or not you really want to go and, as an atheist, it wouldn't have been my idea of a day out. You put personal preferences aside at times like that.

I accompanied a blind, staunchly Catholic friend to the Sheffield 'rally' in 1985...quite a few years ago don't you think, so 34 years between is hardly a habit and it was at her request.

Did Widdecombe get up to speak GG54? Or was she kept out of people's hearing? I can understand the attraction of the smooth Farage, telling people what they want to hear in his nice Home Counties' accent, but Anne Widdecombe is like finger nails down a blackboard.

It was a sparky, smooth, slick and well presented 'operation' and everyone I spoke to enjoyed being part of it.

I'm never out of my comfort zone in any age group, class or social situation.

Was Nigel being all calm and reasonable, all measured tones? I bet he didn't let the harridan Widdecombe speak, she may be his biggest mistake with her shrill hectoring tones.
