Getting a tad bored with you seemingly following me round the boards.

So I have had an abortion and as a nursing sister I have assisted at both terminations and helped bring much loved babies into the world.

Nurses and doctors who judge are in the wrong job so I hope you are not one. You don’t sound like one thankfully just projecting

For me it’s all about the woman’s choice and what’s not my business is how she got pregnant or if she wants to continue with it.

I don’t get to judge if she the Virgin Mary or a prostirute

I am an atheist - but sorry, I do care. Because a doctor has to do it, and staff have to assist her/him. I am 100% for safe abortion on demand- and 100% for people taking responsibility for contraception. This is not what this thread is about though- and I am beyond disgusted at the Alabama situation.

Hi sodapop. I am also for freedom of opinion. But as Agnurse is neither a grandmother nor middle aged perhaps another site would be a better fit for her.

I have seen her aggressive way of giving her opinion, upset and scare off many gransnet users. I’m nearly in the boat of going off it as I’m sick of seeing her nasty comments to members.
Not everything needs to be positive of course, but some semblance of polite behaviour would be in order. I wonder if she is this pugnacious in real life, or just safely behind a screen. Anyway I’m adding oxygen to her fire.

It is noteworthy that Alabama has the second highest rate of child mortality in the United States, so perhaps not so pro-life as all that.

I think four other States are about to pass laws banning abortion once a foetal heartbeat can be detected.
Seems to be some confusion over the rape and incest exclusions, some reports say they are not excluded.

I agree, I think the best thing to do with these ‘interlopers’ like Agnurse is to ignore them when they make their nasty posts. Same as you do to children when they are being naughty. They’ll/she’ll soon get bored if no one takes the bait ignores their/her awful word vomit and maybe find a more age appropriate site to visit.

But I hope you and your husband are in know way in a position to influence laws where you are.
