This poem just about sums it up for me today.

Yes, she's resigned. But the nasty, vindictive vitriol coming from so many people this morning is unworthy of the rest of us.

Poor woman. She did her best. She worked so hard and for so long, without any useful help from the rest of them. And now all people can do is kick her when she's down.

Personally I think the whole country should give her the biggest and best bunch of flowers possible, and say THANK YOU FOR TRYING SO HARD!

Now let the vitriol continue....

Why has tbread wsndered from Mrs May to firemen, cladding and Grenfell tower ? Surely not

trisher Sun 26-May-19 16:49:26

I suppose we see what we want to...
Incidently it is not possble to distinguish the flammability of cladding by glancing at it as you pass.

Anniebach Sun 26-May-19 16:48:04

I shall refrain from referring to or posting links of Corbyn being petulent, sooooo many

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 16:32:56

I honestly saw no petulance but raw emotion. I have seen Corbyn petulant on many occasions when interviewed.

Sara65 Sun 26-May-19 16:26:47

I agree, hope she’s given some peace and privacy

Buffybee Sun 26-May-19 16:26:47

Jabberwok! Nowhere in my post did I say that TM was vile, uncaring or dictatorial.
Please do not hold me responsible for saying anything other than what I said in my post.
I only gave my opinion, that TM was crying only for herself and that she appeared petulant.
I am allowed my opinion!
Also Anniebach, you are right, I am not a fan of Corbyn, I have always voted Conservative!

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 16:18:07

Oh defiantly good for her the release must me wonderful

Anniebach Sun 26-May-19 16:02:31

Good for her, she can now watch rolling news and have s chuckle

Jane10 Sun 26-May-19 16:02:05

I must say though that it looked a bit forced. Shame the cameras followed her to church.
I hope the paparazzi just leave her alone for a long spell of R&R after she leaves.

Gonegirl Sun 26-May-19 15:55:09

Well, she certainly looked well, and happy, when they left church this morning. Leaving Sonning Church

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 15:54:37

Of course you can’t but if this cladding was so deadly and so visible someone should have flagged it up.

trisher Sun 26-May-19 15:49:11

Mciah if you had bothered to read the link you would know
The government is choosing to ignore its own figures, preferring instead to bury their heads in the sand. The need for firefighters in all their roles is increasing, and yet year on year we are seeing appalling cuts to the service. Fire and rescue services in England are expected to do more with less, putting public safety at risk. It is only down to the dedication of fire and rescue staff that the service is performing as efficiently as it is. Firefighters have been ensuring the service delivers, but it is at breaking point. Some of the resulting weaknesses have been highlighted last week by the stark reduction in vital fire safety inspections undertaken. Public safety is being put at risk
You can't drastically cut fire fighters numbers and maintain the same level of safety. But I thought you said you weren't blaming them????

Anniebach Sun 26-May-19 15:45:41

trisher there are few far left labour women who can be praised or criticised, only one I can think of is Diane Abbott.

In recent years only Margaret Beckett and Harriet Harman
and they are not far left .

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 15:37:20

Oh I agree she has aged visibly

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 15:36:34

tricher

You don’t think it was somewhat remiss of the London fire brigade to have seen this cladding very visible to all and not shout out that it was flammable?

I suppose you think TM knows more about these things than they do?

Lilyflower Sun 26-May-19 15:20:32

A long time ago not again!

Lilyflower Sun 26-May-19 15:19:59

Teresa’s Deal was to take us out of the EU so we had no influence or say over what happened to us and, for that privilege, we had access to markets on a hideously disadvantageous basis. Most Brexiters voted out to escape the political and fiscal intention said behind ‘ever closer union’ where we would be consigned to the status of a mere region of the EU. The Deal was impossible to stomach.

No one doubts May’s sincerity or hard work but even Hitler was sincere and hard working. Without the right intentions and abilities sincerity is at best a neutral quality and can be disastrous. May should have gone a long time again, if, as a Remainer, she should have been picked in the first place to exit the EU.

I hope she can recover her health and equilibrium. She has aged, poor woman, ten years in three.

trisher Sun 26-May-19 15:11:34

Mycatisahacker you posted Where were the fire brigade union when this cladding was being put on???

Surely it was part of their remit to flag this up?
If that isn't blaming the fire brigade I don't know what is.
The fact that your only real response is to tell me to "Calm down dear" and to say that you aren't blaming them shows you really know who is at fault here but refuse to acknowledge it for some reason.
When I think of all the negative posts that have been made about left wing women politicians and their inadequacies it amazes me that a woman on the right wing who failed miserably to implement any of her promises, who when Home Secretary introduced draconian and restrictive practices which UK citizens are still suffering under I wonder about women and responsibility. Is it all men's fault she failed to deliver Brexit as she promised? The one thing she has been is consistently not what she claimed- "Strong and stable" to the very end????

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 14:59:38

Annie

grin

Anniebach Sun 26-May-19 14:57:51

Buffy you cannot be a Corbyn supporter , if you think she
stomped off, what would you say if she had hidden behind s glass door after being asked one question squealing ‘stop
harassing me’ as Corbyn did,

Joplin Sun 26-May-19 14:47:47

Buffybee - such an unsympathetic post - you obviously just want to have a go at a (previously)strong woman who must have felt humiliated at having been kicked by nearly every man in the cabinet, plus several bitchy women, whilst battling Diabetes, frequent air travel which she hated & daily sniping in the press. She didn't "stomp off" as you put it - that's how she walks - but as she only just made it behind closed doors before crying again I'm just surprised she didn't walk even faster.

Jabberwok Sun 26-May-19 14:38:28

Well the staff at No 10 clearly didn't see it that way Buffybee, by all reports they too were in tears, so she can't be quite so vile, uncaring, dictatorial and all the other appalling things this hard working perhaps over zealous woman is purported to be else no one would have worked for the Mays.

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 14:22:06

its poor people who die in fires so maybe that’s a solution to poverty

How on earth do you deduce that from my post.

So wierd.

Mycatisahacker Sun 26-May-19 14:19:47

tricher

I wasn’t blaming the fire service in any way so calm down dear I was however wondering how on earth these fire experts didn’t shout up at the time and warn that this cladding was dangerous.

Buffybee Sun 26-May-19 14:02:38

I've just watched a clip of TM's resignation speech again.
In my opinion the tears were entirely for herself and the way she stomped off after, appeared quite petulant.
Not what we want from a leader, quite honestly it was cringeworthy.
