Bloody Trump, sticking his nose in!

The arrogance of the man angry

Aepgirl Sun 02-Jun-19 19:46:11

I don’t like Trump but my American friend thinks he’s great simply because he puts America first. Isn’t that just what anybody wants of their President / Prime Minister?

Was that post necessary Phoenix - other than it demonstrates exactly what I have said about remain and the respect for democracy and the views of others.

abbey Sun 02-Jun-19 19:24:28

I hate Farage. With a vengeance.

Why? Do you know him personally to hold such strong feelings?

I find it very hard to understand how anyone can claim to have such strong feelings really..... although I must admit that I am beginning to feel considerable hostility toward remain voters now ( which could spill out in my attitude toward individuals if I were to meet them and I were less than rational) . My faith in democracy and my belief that as a winner I have the right to expect my instructions to be followed - not fudged, not "re interpreted" and certainly not ignored or kicked down the road.

If it was the other way round would remainers agree to a second , third , fourth of fifth vote until leave won? Of course they wouldnt. When we entered the EEC ( now EU) there was one referendum and the winner took all. It was 45 years before anyone got another say.

My hostility of feeling is essentially directed toward how these in my opinion arrogant , ill willed and anti democratic individuals could , even though a minority in terms of the democratic vote, seek to overthrow the basic principles of democracy , free speech and the right of the winner to be given their choice enacted and think they are doing everyone a favour because the other side ( leave - and people like me) are thick, ignorant children who didnt know what they were voting for and have no right to make decisions. That is essentially what it has come down to now.

The ship has sailed on having a debate about leaving or staying in the EU. Any arguments that might have been are gone. It is about the enactment of democracy vs totalitarianism. Its about the vote of the majority vs the establishment who are ignoring them.

That's a daft post phoenix

phoenix Sun 02-Jun-19 19:14:36

urmstongran whether or not I'm "gorgeous" is neither here nor there, cheap shot. But as you are a declared Trump fan, then no doubt you would probably think his looks are entirely natural, his farts (if indeed he does fart) smell of roses in the morning, and sandalwood & jasmine in the evening, and make a wonderful noise akin to "Ode to Joy" when (if) air does pass between his firm and (naturally) tanned buttocks.

Oops, not "Ode to Joy" of course, as that is the anthem for Europe, perhaps it might be more appropriate if it was something else?

Tillybelle Sun 02-Jun-19 18:59:43

Gonegirl. Me too! He is utterly vile! Have you seen his views about the NHS? Basically to privatise it all - "go down the insurance route.." he said. What a nasty, wicked, uncaring, evil, cold-blooded creature he is.

abbey Sun 02-Jun-19 18:56:50

Abbey Did I say I endorsed HC? I was referring solely to DT. Sorry, I don't understand your second post.

The US presidency is a two horse race. The choice was Hills or Donald.

Tillybelle Sun 02-Jun-19 18:56:29

Ginny42. Cheers Ginny! I have been cut off a bit - missed some news. I shall watch this space...

Gad3 Sun 02-Jun-19 18:31:05

I'm sticking my head above the parapet by being a lone voice saying I'm with all three men.

Urmstongran Sun 02-Jun-19 18:23:50

And why not Gad! Your opinion counts just the same as anyone’s! I like 2 out of the 3 too.
?

Gonegirl Sun 02-Jun-19 18:22:47

phoenix just because someone likes the look of a man doesn't have to mean they want him grab (what you said shock) or any other bits of them. grin

Gad3 Sun 02-Jun-19 18:21:48

Gonegirl Sun 02-Jun-19 18:20:35

I have to admit to feeling sorry for him sometimes. Like when he got on that aeroplane and had no idea what to do with his umbrella, and in the end just left it on the floor in the doorway. grin

Bill Clinton is the one who said he "didn't have sex with that woman".

Urmstongran Sun 02-Jun-19 18:14:36

Bill Clinton. Wasn’t he the one with DNA on Monica Lewinsky’s dress? Bit more than ‘pussy grabbing’. But hey, he’s a Democrat, like Obama so no condemnation eh? Let’s just go for Trump and hate him....

As I said before, the haters gonna hate.

Marcus Ball has brought the case and it's in court

Marcus Ball ( not his real name it seems but an aka) and a possible con man and fraudster living the high life on crowdfunding donations given to him by those who support remain.

OK, take pot shots at the other side if you will but please also acknowledge the less honest types on your won side too.

abbey Sun 02-Jun-19 18:05:44

That doesn't mean I wasn't disappointed that a man with proven record of misogyny and racism was to be the President of the United States, ergo arguably the most significant politician on earth.

So you would rather have endorsed the oh so squeaky clean Hilary Clinton would you? Bill Clinton was impeached.

Urmstongran Sun 02-Jun-19 17:44:41

But I bet you’re just gorgeous phoenix

We have to stop this. Why are people so vociferous and downright judgemental and nasty all the time?

There’s a lot of hate around these days.

And keyboard warriors.

^"Lightening the tone somewhat, especially in view of the posts where some have declared him "handsome" confused (so you would be happy for him to grab your "pussy"?) what about the obviously not natural tan (look around the eyes) and of course, the hair. There is a whole website dedicated to that!^"

No color of the spectrum can lighten the tone of prejudice when presented in text -- or face to face conversations-

Urmstongran Sun 02-Jun-19 17:41:39

Ooh “.... these awful men is you know when people say they like them and they are good people that you are talking to a racist so you know exactly who to avoid because no one who is not a racist would see anything remotely good in any of them“

Inflammatory much BlueBelle?

Do you really believe that statement? I have to disagree!
?

rosecarmel Sun 02-Jun-19 17:32:08

Tillybelle, obviously, for some not soon enough- smile

Nancy Pelosi stated that, "Democrats are on the path to impeachment-" That "path" could cross the president's path is all that means- I'm not downplaying the seriousness or possibility, just stating a fact-

The Constitution provides two penalties for impeachment, the removal from office and future office- If the Democrats fail to deliver an ironclad case prior to the end of his term, or terms, in office it's possible that the information compiled during his position as president could be brought before criminal court-

Ginny42 Sun 02-Jun-19 17:00:52

Tillybelle Marcus Ball has brought the case and it's in court. District Judge, Margot Coleman, has said there is no realistic chance it can be concluded before the two candidates for Tory leader go to the vote.
Interesting. Watch this space.
