I hate Farage. With a vengeance.
Why? Do you know him personally to hold such strong feelings?
I find it very hard to understand how anyone can claim to have such strong feelings really..... although I must admit that I am beginning to feel considerable hostility toward remain voters now ( which could spill out in my attitude toward individuals if I were to meet them and I were less than rational) . My faith in democracy and my belief that as a winner I have the right to expect my instructions to be followed - not fudged, not "re interpreted" and certainly not ignored or kicked down the road.
If it was the other way round would remainers agree to a second , third , fourth of fifth vote until leave won? Of course they wouldnt. When we entered the EEC ( now EU) there was one referendum and the winner took all. It was 45 years before anyone got another say.
My hostility of feeling is essentially directed toward how these in my opinion arrogant , ill willed and anti democratic individuals could , even though a minority in terms of the democratic vote, seek to overthrow the basic principles of democracy , free speech and the right of the winner to be given their choice enacted and think they are doing everyone a favour because the other side ( leave - and people like me) are thick, ignorant children who didnt know what they were voting for and have no right to make decisions. That is essentially what it has come down to now.
The ship has sailed on having a debate about leaving or staying in the EU. Any arguments that might have been are gone. It is about the enactment of democracy vs totalitarianism. Its about the vote of the majority vs the establishment who are ignoring them.
