Just that really.

Gina Miller will be advising the best way and who to vote for.

I’ll post it as it comes into notice.

No-one’s telling anyone what to do - it’s an optional website for people who might want to use their vote tactically!

Fiachna50 Sun 10-Nov-19 14:56:14

Gina Miller dictating to me how to vote. I don't think so. I will make up my own mind which I have done since I first voted at age 18. No one should be telling anyone who or what to vote for.

Remainers - if you want to vote for the candidate best placed to stop brexit in your constituency you can enter your postcode to get the tactical voting recommendation on the Best for Britain website.

Every vote makes it more likely, so please use yours to good effect Annie

Anniebach Fri 08-Nov-19 13:09:55

The Libs cannot stop it, I wish they could

varian Fri 08-Nov-19 12:59:15

I cannot predict what will happen but I do know that the Liberal Democrats will do everything possible to stop brexit. We must vote for the party most likely to stop brexit, unless of course brexit is what you still .want

Anniebach Fri 08-Nov-19 10:42:46

varian the conservatives want brexit, the Libs don’t and labour refuses to say, and if Corbyn wins the election the Libs will do the same as they did with the conservatives.

Brexit will happen

varian Fri 08-Nov-19 10:31:23

Annie this is a vital election. If you really don't care whether our future and that of our grandchildren, is damaged by brexit, don't vote, but you could help to get a better future by voting LibDem.

In a number of other Welsh constituencies supporters of the Libdems and Greens will be voting for Plaid Cymru

Anniebach Fri 08-Nov-19 08:57:17

It takes away the voters choice, I want to vote for Plaid Cymru, but the. Choice is Conservative, Labour, Lib Dem ,
so not voting .

varian Fri 08-Nov-19 08:42:53

The LibDems, Greens and Plaid Cymru have agreed a " Unite to Remain" arrangement affecting 60 constituencies where only one Remain supporting party will stand a candidate in the general election to maximise the chances of a Remain party being elected.

Above all I will not respond to anyone telling me what I must do. Off the reread Animal Farm I think.
Baa.. 2 legs bad 4 legs good...

I often wonder how and who finances Gina Miller do we know?
For me I intend to step back from the headlines, latest soundbite, whipped up media frenzy on the latest "development" or gaff and make a rational unemotional choice. As I am not affiliated to any particular party, I will be looking at each candidates track record, experience alongside reading the manifestos and contacting each candidate individually. I'm not particularly impressed with the LP trumpesque chanting, anymore than I am endeared to posh white blokes running the country. I want someone with some metaphoric balls to fight for our local schools, hospital, jobs, transport links, local housing, for our countryside, for our farmers. Someone with character who I consider worthy of my vote. And if none of them fit the bill then I might just register my protest by spoiling the paper The election has barely started and its tedious already

SirChenjin Tue 05-Nov-19 17:42:06

In what way does she not believe in democracy lady?

Ginny42 Tue 05-Nov-19 17:25:31

As far as I'm aware 'that dreadful Jo Swinson' is not a serial liar. I'm not a Lib Dem voter, but she's right when she says she can do a better job than either Johnson or Corbyn.

ladymuck Tue 05-Nov-19 16:50:47

Just seen that dreadful Jo Swinson on the news. I do hope she doesn't become the next PM. For one thing, she doesn't believe in democracy.

Tooting29 Tue 05-Nov-19 16:45:36

I believe in voting for the best candidate for my constituency and safeguards local interests

Callistemon Tue 05-Nov-19 15:37:08

I'm not sure how that would work though as so many 'floating' voters seem bewildered about what is Labour's stance.

Last time I was certain that the Lib Dems would gain seats especially in remain voting constituencies where the MP was a brexit supporter but they did not; in fact their share of the vote went down.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 05-Nov-19 15:30:29

Look what could happen, if we are organised. Let’s do it?

Dinahmo Fri 01-Nov-19 18:05:23

Websites to enable people to vote tactically have been around for a long time . Tactical.vote provides the results from the last GE for each constituency to enable voters to check which party is likely to best if they don't like the current incumbent. This site doesn't tell people how to vote.

There is another site which recommends voting for Lib Dems in Kensington and Westminster when in the last GE they achieved a poor third. The Lib Dem candidates are Sam Gyimah and Chukka Umunna, both high profile candidates which may be why this site is recommending them.

Farage has said that unless Johnson drops his deal with the EU the Brexit Party will field 600 candidates.

Corbyn has said that if Labour win they will negotiate a new deal and put it to the country with their deal or Remain as the choice. As someone above said, their should have been a confirmatory vote on the present deal. After all, when we joined the EU the deal was presented to us for acceptance or rejection.

A Tory/Brexit Party victory will absolutely guarantee the end of the Union - no question. Ironic, isn’t it.

jura2 Fri 01-Nov-19 17:07:57

It is pretty clear-if you want to break up the U.K. vote Labour Tory/Brexit party alliance.

Sparklefizz Fri 01-Nov-19 16:03:48

Why are people so personally insulting to others who happen to disagree with them?

Telling people they "must be a bit thick", posting "Duh!" and "Oh dear" sarcastically.

Play nicely children grin

Urmstongran Fri 01-Nov-19 16:02:16

It is pretty clear-if you want to break up the U.K. vote Labour.

Corbyn will be Sturgeon’s poodle.

Once Scotland becomes independent the SNP will introduce a low tax business friendly regime driving many employers north of the border to escape Corbyn’s punitive tax regime.

Grandad1943 Fri 01-Nov-19 15:48:57

I voted remain in the referendum but I do firmly believe that the result of that ballot cannot be just disregarded.

I also believe that the Labour Party policies of protecting workers rights, workplace safety and the environment are for me correct.

Therefore I most certainly could not vote Conservative and the Liberal Democrat policy of disregarding the referendum result means that only Labour is open for me.

However, my area is traditionally Tory with the LibDems polling second in the last General Election. But, due to the foregoing, I cannot vote for either of the above, so my vote will in all probably mean little when I poll for the Labour Party.

Not a fan of Blair, but he explains this very well- don't mix!
