Remainers must vote tactically

Just that really.

Gina Miller will be advising the best way and who to vote for.

I’ll post it as it comes into notice.

More than 50 MPs are not standing this time. Worryingly some women are citing abuse as the reason why they've reached this decision. Why would you want to face vile abuse every day just for going to work?

That surely cuts it very fine for all parties to have candidates in place for a Dec 12th election? It's all too rushed and should not have happened until after a public vote on the so called plan.

It's going to be difficult focusing on voting for how we perceive the future, from a place where we don't actually know where we are. If you see what I mean.

Am I the 6 year old?? GGmk3 I don’t understand why?
Or did you mean Trump?

GracesGranMK3 Thu 31-Oct-19 21:21:49

The six year old is back I see. Never mind Whitewave many grownups will be thanking you and looking forward to seeing what is suggested as the best anti-leave vote. We can then decide which way we want to go.

What on Earth had it to do with Obama?

He, at least, is a half decent human being.

SirChenjin Thu 31-Oct-19 20:56:40

I don’t agree Urm - I think when it comes down to it people will vote roughly along the same lines as always, ie left or right. It’s just to what extent they’ll be prepared to move but one way or the other.

It’s all moot up here though as we’re moving to an independent Scotland and it will be very interesting to see what happens in N Ireland/Ireland now that Boris has shafted the DUP.

Urmstongran Thu 31-Oct-19 20:56:13

What on Earth had it to do with Obama?
Or Guy Verhofstadt when he came over to canvass with the Lib Dem’s?

Different strokes for Remainers (again).

Talking of the Lib Dems ...
They are already up to dirty tricks.

Bogus tactical voting site - best for britain - telling people to vote lib dems in seats that are labour/tory marginal e;g; Hastings where the tory won by a few hundred seats with labour a close 2nd and lib dem vote in the low 1000's

Site not up front about being a lib dem campaign site.

More interested in splitting anti tory vote than getting tories out - as always enabling tories.

When parties fight dirty like this it's because they have nothing positive to offer the electorate.

Pantglas2 Thu 31-Oct-19 20:55:31

It’s all very well for remainers and brexiters to vote tactically to try and get what they want, they have certainty on what they want to achieve- in or out.

What about someone like me who didn’t vote because I didn’t know enough and trying to get a straight answer on things is like drawing hens teeth! I can’t be the only undecided can I?

grapefruitpip Thu 31-Oct-19 20:52:04

What on earth has it got to do with Trump???

Whitewavemark2 Thu 31-Oct-19 20:47:54

Best For Britain
@BestForBritain

With those on the Leave side being called on to form a pact by Donald Trump of all people, it's crucial that Remainers use their votes wisely.

But if just a third of Remainers vote tactically at this election, Boris Johnson will be prevented from winning a majority.

Urmstongran Thu 31-Oct-19 20:36:04

WOWZER❗️❗️

jura a first (or actually a second, if my memory serves me!)
?

jura2 Thu 31-Oct-19 20:25:21

Buffybee- fair enough- so I take it you would not vote tactically. Thanks.

Urmstongran, hold on to your knicker elastic here-
but I actually agree with you ;)

Urmstongran Thu 31-Oct-19 20:11:03

No, I do get it Scj and jura
I just happen to think differently to both of you regarding this GE.

Domestic policy is obviously important and would usually be all about what the parties propose. (That said, since the referendum, bluddy manifestos aren’t worth the paper they’re written on!)

This time round Brexit looms over everything.

Buffybee Thu 31-Oct-19 19:51:39

jura2 if that question was to me. I have just stated exactly what I am going to do and how I will vote.
I really can't see the point in answering your hypothetical question.

Ginny42 Thu 31-Oct-19 19:45:21

I see Trump called in to the Farage radio programme urging him to join forces with Johnson. Do listen.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoZrx3iR6us

Hasn't he got a country to run and an impeachment hanging over his head?

jura2 Thu 31-Oct-19 19:20:42

thanks- however, same question as above. If the tactical Brexit vote advised you to vote for Farage and the Brexit party instead- would you cross that line?

Buffybee Thu 31-Oct-19 19:16:47

My area voted 67% leave in the Referendum but we are landed with a Labour MP who is against Brexit.
I am voting Conservative, as I always have and will try to persuade as many Labour voters as I can to vote Conservative, if they want their Referendum vote to be honoured.

jura2 Thu 31-Oct-19 19:09:59

you just don't get it Urmston - it is not about people, it is about what they stand for, for they have provenly stood for in the past, their core values, how they campaigned. Farage has campaigned in the name of racism- most Tories I know will not join in.

SirChenjin Thu 31-Oct-19 19:07:01

Did you actually understand what I meant by predictable Urm?

I’ll try it another way for you. You appear to think that the election is all about Brexit and that people who’ve never voted for right wing extremists like Farage will now do so because Brexit.

I disagree and believe that more people will look at issues like the NHS, education, social justice and so on and vote along those lines.

Urmstongran Thu 31-Oct-19 19:03:08

Love it! GG13

GrannyGravy13 Thu 31-Oct-19 19:00:26

Because Gina Miller told them to grin

Urmstongran Thu 31-Oct-19 18:59:58

Double standards you see dear lemongrove if Remainers do it that’s because they are valiant, honest and true (to their cause).

If we do it, well we are just so .... predictable!

jura2 Thu 31-Oct-19 18:58:23

lemon- don't know about yur Constituency. But, if the advice from Brexiters was to vote tactically for the Farage and co- would you? Or would it, as for the many decent Conservatives I know, cross a red moral line they could not and would not, cross?

lemongrove Thu 31-Oct-19 18:57:23

Really? So....all those Conservative, and Labour Remainers who will vote for the Lib Dems are voting that way because?

SirChenjin Thu 31-Oct-19 18:53:10

Not true - merely your (predictable) opinion of what’s important

lemongrove Thu 31-Oct-19 18:52:16

If supping with the devil was voting for Corbyn.....sorry it couldn’t be done! ?
Yes, this GE is all about Brexit and the only Party to even try and get us out of the EU is the Conservative Party. So they will be getting my vote.
