Diane Abbott would be in charge of home security and immigration.

overreacting ?????.

Dear oh dear.

lemongrove Wed 06-Nov-19 08:38:40

suziewoozie ......why target me in your ire?I have only just come on here today to see the posts and I wouldn’t ever say those sort of things, but this is a site for adults and think you are over reacting.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 06-Nov-19 08:35:33

Sometimes by omission to criticise speaks volumes

Whitewavemark2 Wed 06-Nov-19 08:34:52

There is a lot of dog whistling goes on, on here. From quite surprising people too.

MaizieD Wed 06-Nov-19 08:30:05

That thought had crossed my mind, too, grapefruitpip.

suziewoozie Wed 06-Nov-19 08:29:35

I have reported it - in fact I think the whole thread should be deleted. Didn’t the OP start a thread about Gina Millar and the prorogation of Parliament - something about wiping the smile of her smug face. Let’s think - what do GM and DA have in common? One might almost feel there was a pattern here.

This is what Rudd was trying to suppress

Dr Steven Roberts
@SteveRoberts_

A pic of my beautiful brother, Danny. 35 years ago he contracted a rare condition that left him brain damaged + quadriplegic. Today, he was required to attend a ‘return to work’ meeting or forgo his #disability #benefits.

suziewoozie Wed 06-Nov-19 08:26:07

Is it too much lemon for you to say anything about the filth on here about DA or do you think it’s acceptable? Isn’t it possible to think that DA as HS is a dreadful idea but condemn the racist comments about her? I thought better if you

grapefruitpip Wed 06-Nov-19 08:22:24

suziewoozie, if you ave concerns, contact HQ. I am sure they wouldn't wish their site to be a safe place for abusive comments.

suziewoozie Wed 06-Nov-19 08:21:23

‘we’ missed ou before ‘just allow’

lemongrove Wed 06-Nov-19 08:20:46

Luckygirl you are spot on with your comment ‘ she does nothing for his credibility’ (DA).

suziewoozie Wed 06-Nov-19 08:20:11

I disagree about ignoring the racist misogynistic filth on here. Ladyfilth and Oldsschoolnanny shouldn’t just allow their sewage to go unchallenged on here - to say nothing is to be complicit. They are both a disgrace to GN

lemongrove Wed 06-Nov-19 08:19:04

Is this your thread then MaizieD ??

lemongrove Wed 06-Nov-19 08:17:24

Grandad I will repeat I have not seen any support for the Brexit Party on any political threads going on here.Even if there was in the past, Urmstongran has said she will vote Conservative in the GE.
No selective memory loss for me Grandad but I haven’t read every single post on every political thread ( have you?)
So if there is support for the Brexit Party you can point it out.

MaizieD Wed 06-Nov-19 08:11:44

Kudos to those of you who have risen to the bait ?

I was just going to let the girls have their bitchfest and let the thread die.

No responses to real criticism of past and current tory Home Secs I see. [Hmm]

Whitewavemark2 Wed 06-Nov-19 08:08:43

suzie

My eyebrows disappeared when I read some of the comments as clearly did yours.

But just as I ignore knuckle draggers in real life, I do the same on social media.

suziewoozie Wed 06-Nov-19 08:05:36

Good God - the disgusting racist misogyny continues.
* Ladymuck* and what an appropriate name that is - you-clearly know nothing about DA. She receives more online racist and sexist abuse than all other women MPs put together. When I say abuse - much of it is vile and filthy, why not try googling it to see? So it’s extremely sensitive of her to object to get is it? FFS. As to your disgusting comment about JC not bring desperate enough to sleep with her - firstly they were a couple for a brief while before they were MPs . How she looks now in her 60s is irrelevant anyway and to make that comment is beneath contempt.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 06-Nov-19 08:04:03

Don’t get me started on Priti Patel !!!??

Whitewavemark2 Wed 06-Nov-19 07:48:08

Talking about Home Secretaries.

How about Amber Rudd? who has been told by the Advertising Standards Watchdog that she lied in a series of apparent independent reporting in a national newspaper.

Not only did she try to deceive the public into believing that the so called features were from an independent source when in fact they were produced on her insistence by the civil servants in the DWP, but the features, over a string of articles, contained a number of lies.

The ASA has looked at a number of claims in the articles and have found them to be false.

The watchdog has been FORCED TO ADVISE THE CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMENT TO TELL THE TRUTH.

Amber Rudd knowingly lied.

growstuff Wed 06-Nov-19 07:45:38

Does Diane Abbott have a history of suing people? Considering the amount of abuse she gets, I wouldn't blame her.

You seem to have forgotten just how pretty Diane Abbott was when she was younger.

I'm actually not an Abbott fan, but your comment is as vile as that of newnanny.

Grandad1943 Wed 06-Nov-19 07:44:24

I am always amazed that there are women on this forum who vilify other women as only achieving high office in their careers etc by sleeping with men. In this day and age, nothing could be further from the facts or truth in regard to such statements as we have seen in this thread and others.

Women make their way to high office in the present day by way of hard dedicated work and gaining the qualifications necessary to take them to the top.

There is still what is known as the "glass ceiling" which can still in some circumstances prevent women from achieving the ultimate Boardroom positions, but that I believe is now slowly breaking down.

I am fortunate that within my own company over the years I have seen women join our workforce in low administration roles and then through their natural abilities go on to active the highest accreditations in industrial safety and therefore lead many others in that roles.

That is the way it should be, and I find it very sad that it takes a male to say that on a forum such as this.

The election is about Brexit all other issues are secondary, as for a majority Labour government, that is highly unlikely with Corbyn as leader. However it is highly possible that he leads a coalition for while, how long that lasts is another question.

So if the Tories don’t get a working majority it’s hard to see how parliament is going to function at all.
Very uncertain times

Dottynan Wed 06-Nov-19 06:58:19

Newnanny. 1 - 5 is well known maybe the last sentence should be kept to your own thoughts

ladymuck Wed 06-Nov-19 06:42:55

This general election is not just centred on Brexit, it is also very much about personalities rather than parties. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. All of the main parties have rather unpleasant leaders, and this is going to influence voters.
