Corbyn isn’t going to stand down for some time because he
‘Needs to reflect’. !

MP’s want him to leave now .

Who for the new leader ?

The contentious ET remark was alleged, by why would CF make it up. On the other hand we all say throwaway comments that we can't remember and dare I say it ET has form it's not unknown for a minority on the left to label others who don't always agree with them stupid why I think I've even seen it right here with a " oh shut up you stupid woman"

Anyway it's good that the more intelligent poster is here to remonstrate with the feeble minded amongst ussmile

Urmstongran Mon 16-Dec-19 16:03:34

Johnson isn't even a real politician
Erm, yes he is!

If it hadn't been for Brexit, he wouldn't have won
Even IF that were true, it shows the tsunami of support he got for promising Brexit will happen!

TerriBull Mon 16-Dec-19 16:02:27

GG, I refer to China because GagaJo has on previous occasions, if I remember rightly, has said that she finds it a good place to live in comparison to parts of Britain.

Reflection is not euphoria. God only knows there have been enough on going threads from the far left, sometimes they dominate this site.

How censorious some people are about what others should post shock

GracesGranMK3 Mon 16-Dec-19 15:53:52

You have all gone mad with the euphoria of believing you are right. How, simply how, could anyone think that what the Labour Party was talking about is anything like how China is run. Stupid and mad.

TerriBull Mon 16-Dec-19 15:45:50

I dare say JC would be very well thought of by anyone who thought a Chinese style of government preferable to a democracy, allegedly the latter takes away all worries, unless of course if you are unfortunate to be a person or have a relative about to be taken direct from their trial, without any chance of an appeal, to a place of execution, or a Muslim sent to some camp somewhere for re-education.

Gaga Jo I'm merely pondering on what if scenarios, following the election, is that allowed? or should I check with you first smile I was referring to Alan Johnson, not Boris.

I do have a life, I'm not in the country at the moment so have been trying to follow things via the internet, I have been for a long walk this morning and had a swim I guess that could be construed as being alive and having a life of sorts and posting what is obviously drivel on GN, I don't know though, is it enough hmm

Anniebach Mon 16-Dec-19 15:38:56

GracesGran you said - ‘good, people need to stop throwing around lies and insults ‘ .

mmmmmm

GracesGranMK3 Mon 16-Dec-19 15:26:33

If it was a lie, you have decided GracesGran?
Oh, do shut up you silly woman. I didn't say it was or wasn't a lie. I spoke generally.

Anniebach Mon 16-Dec-19 15:17:54

GagaJo you have no life or anything ?

You have the wrong Johnson

GagaJo Mon 16-Dec-19 15:14:58

TerriBull. STILL don't understand why you lot are banging on about the opposition AFTER the election.

Almost like you have no lives or anything. Very sad.

I'm wondering if Labour voters lament the leader they never had, the other Johnson.

NO! JC is very well thought of. I admired him a lot. Johnson isn't even a real politician. If it hadn't been for Brexit, he wouldn't have won. Jesus. You think we're jealous of the British Trump? Don't make me laugh.

JC is head and shoulders above Boris. I'm embarrassed he is my countries leader. Bit like the US feels about Trump.

Anniebach Mon 16-Dec-19 14:56:09

I certainly didn’t think he would jump ship , he will cling on
as long as he can.

Yehbutnobut Mon 16-Dec-19 14:34:56

Of course it’s for Corbyn to decide and he’s made it clear that will be when the next leader is appointed. Did you think he would just jump ship and run like that rat Cameron?

Anniebach Mon 16-Dec-19 14:33:46

If it was a lie , you have decided GracesGran ?

GracesGranMK3 Mon 16-Dec-19 14:29:17

Emily Thornberry is taking legal action against Caroline Flint

Good. People need to stop throwing around lies and insults.

Anniebach Mon 16-Dec-19 14:18:46

Keir Starmer was asked this morning was he standing for leadership he replied -

‘Now it’s time for reflection’

Asked if Corbyn should stand down -

‘That is for Jeremy to decide’

?

Urmstongran Mon 16-Dec-19 14:12:00

Sorry GagaJo .... you’ve lost me there?
?

Urmstongran Mon 16-Dec-19 14:09:38

Sorry Grandad1943 I didn’t make that clear. Yes, he took himself off from being a constituency MP in Yorkshire.
? Bassetlaw

In July, he was appointed by outgoing PM Theresa May to head a government inquiry on tackling anti-Semitism.

He chaired a cross-party parliamentary group on anti-Semitism and has been a frequent critic of Mr Corbyn's handling of the issue.

I suppose what I meant to say I admire a man who stuck by his principles, recognised his constituency voted Leave. He is the kind of politician who would make a good candidate for a Leader. Someone trustworthy. Not a Corbynista in any way, shape or form!

GagaJo Mon 16-Dec-19 13:04:31

Urmstongran, or possibly because arguing about politics is the high point of their lives? When the rest of us have moved on.

jo1book Mon 16-Dec-19 12:48:56

Thornberry v. Flint. Just love a cat fight. Who's done what to who?

jannxxx Mon 16-Dec-19 11:14:04

someone new young dynamic, and who is in touch with the real world

Ilovecheese Mon 16-Dec-19 11:11:32

Hands off Andy Burnam! He is doing well here in Manchester

Anniebach Mon 16-Dec-19 11:09:37

So many wanted Alan Johnson to stand but he refused

I don’t think he will stand but if a non Corbynite wins the leadership he will be in the shadow cabinet
