When he was in hospital once before, the Queen didn’t visit him. I’m sure she could be with him very speedily if it was thought necessary.

According to the BBC he was admitted this morning for a planned admission, was not taken by ambulance and walked into the hospital.

I think they said it was precautionary and he isn't one to enjoy being fussed. He has had trouble with the plumbing in the past - I hope he's not uncomfortable and will have Christmas with the Queen.

I thought she seemed very tired when reading the speech - no doubt very worried.

Doesn’t anyone else feel it’s sad that she’s not stayed in London to at least be near at hand for a visit at least? On second thoughts I suppose this is just how the Royals behave, to me it’s totally alien.

Such admiration for the Queen, it doesn’t say if he was admitted this morning or yesterday but she did her duty for
the country regardless.

Hope he will be home for Christmas

I hope she won't have been robbed of being with him if he gets worse - because of this charade.

He’s 98y. That's sad as his wife was travelling in the opposite direction. Hope all goes well for him.

he is quite a bit older, no? Probably been ill for a while and the poor Queen had to leave him to go and 'do her job', without pride and with a heavy heart. Feel really sorry for her.

Oh dear. Last I heard he was staying at the cottage in Sandringham with the Queen on her way to join him. He hasn't aged as well as the Queen has he ?

Anniebach Fri 20-Dec-19 14:27:20

Was taken from Sandringham to Edward 7th hospital ,London for observation in relation to a pre existing condition.
