Years ago say early 70’s I remember people got £x rises. Then it went to percentage rises. And we all know on a fat salary, a percentage of a fat salary is a fat increase.
Yet a pair of trainers for the child in a family of a factory floor worker is the same (okay, they have designer but you get my drift) as those needed for the boss’ son.
