Just finished watching it and have to admit to being reluctantly impressed by Emily Thornberry, which I did not expect.
I thought they all spoke with passion.
The only one of them I would definitely not want is Jess Philips.

I think any of the female prospective candidates are fit to be a future PM, it's about time the LP had a woman leader, we've waited long enough!
I do not believe Rebecca Long Bailey will be elected Anniebach. She's too in the mould of Corbyn, whom the electorate rejected.
Personally I think Corbyn is an honest and decent man, but an idealist, rather than a pragmatist. It's not much use having socialist policies if you can never get into government to carry them out.
He was also viciously treated by the media.

Haven't seem it but heaven preserve us from Emily Thornberry

Having watched them all it appears to me that only two of the five candidates could be a future Prime Minister.
Emily Thornberry and Keir Starmer.
I hope Starmer wins.

Surely that would depend on the reaction to her leadership by the rest of the party Anniebach. If the rest of the membership take a position such as that "no hope" expressed by yourself then that will become the reality. But if the rest of the party could be a little more accommodating to different opinions, then unity is much more possible.

No hope of the party regrouping if Long Bailey is leader

Not had a listen yet, am going to try go do so today. Hope I will then feel as optimistic as you!

Just watched this live, and feel really energised after hearing the five candidates.
Thought Lisa Nandy especially impressive, although it looks like Keir Starmer is way out ahead. Personally I will vote for Lisa, but I spoke to an erstwhile UKIP member a couple of weeks ago who said that he hoped Starmer didn't win because he was the one the Tory party feared the most.
Have been so depressed since the election, but hopefully the LP will be able to regroup and form a strong opposition, which the country deserves for the good of democracy..
