I am disgusted by the announcement that these two have sacked 15 British members of staff. What are they thinking? I ask myself 'how would I feel if I'd upped sticks and gone to another country out of loyalty to my employer, only for them to get rid of me 3 months later. I would be heartbroken and furious.
So others can say "nasty things" about trisher and are prepared to make unsubstantiated statements about a young woman (perhaps that's the issue) who has no way of defending herself on "International Woman's Day" but trisher is castigated even though her comment bears no comparison to the libels printed on these pages.
It is all beginning to remind me of Harvey Weinstein's misuse of his power. Very, very nasty.
so you don't think it is cruel to tell your own father that he will never see his grandson? or to not bring her son to meet his UK family?
The first is just title tattle and the second could just as easily be seen as a wise move in the current circumstances. It seems the truth doesn't come into the basis of tearing the woman to pieces as long as posters get the pleasure of doing just that.
Just love the Windsors - although I do wonder how they get away with some of it! My favourites are Andrew's daughters (love their really over the top plummy accents), William and Harry. Also think Harry Enfield is brilliant, he is more like Prince Charles than Prince Charles!
The tradition of the royal family is no black unless for funeralsAnniebach
Where did you imagine that from? Diana certainly wore black "not at funerals" and who says things cannot change anyway. I am beginning to feel very suspicious of the reasons for the attacks on our none British member of the family.
Predictable, if somewhat hackneyed response Bridgeit.eazybee
Only as hackneyed as people assuming that Royal Correspondents actually know the truth surely. Straight to the personal insult too. Very predictable. If you can't feel superior, insult someone. Isn't that what most of this thread is about?
Trisher, with women friends like some on this thread- who needs enemies? They want to own their pound of flesh and soul- Meghan won't have it. Good for her.
My post was deleted because I said nasty things about GN posters. So I would like to say that the level of support, encouragement and love exhibited on this thread for another woman has so impressed me and truly embodies the real meaning of International Women's Day (NOT!!)
I did say on State occasions when other royal ladies were there. As to Kate's clothes, I think the first was at a Service of Remembrance, the coat and boots I have never seen, and the black dress I think had a bright jacket with it, but apologies if I am wrong.
Pinkquartz, just seen your post. Yes, I do believe that she deliberately wore dark clothes in order to be noticed, very early on, an actressy strategy; she looked very chic but unsuitably dressed for the occasions, one of which was a service of thanksgiving in Westminster Abbey I think. I also think I defended her for wearing olive green to the royal christening, (Louis?), the one we were allowed to see!
I seriously cannot believe the hatred on here. My comments were intended to be light hearted and a reflection of how spontaneous children can be. Perhaps some of us have experienced the well drilled school assembly ending in comical mayhem or small, charming moments. I remember to this day a little girl who had a big part in a school play, pausing to adjust her tights before she proceeded. Nobody mocked, it was comical and charming and natural.
Pippa's child is still a baby so I don't think he's the one running about with George! Prince Louis maybe?! Could be Savannah though, but what wrong part have tbey learned? I'm intrigued!!!!
