I'd love one of those t shirts.
It'd look great with my mask, visor, gloves, apron.
Farage fails to report 5 million gift!
News breaking tonight that Dominic Cummings and his wife, when ill with Covid-19, put their child in the car and drove 260 miles from London to Durham so that they could isolate at his parent's place and his parents look after the child. This happened some time after 27th March. Remember lockdown was imposed on 23rd March.
Seen in his parent's garden with his child on 5th April.
Neil Fergusson resigned because his lover visited his house after lockdown.
Scotland's Chief Medical Officer had to resign after visiting her second home twice after lockdown.
Cummings and his wife drive 260 miles to stay with his parents (who must be in their 60s at the very least)... What will he do?

Story is in most of the MSM now.

After more 'evidence' of further visits up north have emerged, I do now agree he has behaved in a stupid manner while in the public eye and likely to be found out, but I do not think he needs to resign. I don't believe the others mentioned, Ferguson etc. have resigned from their actual posts but are just no longer being used as public information spokespeople on tv.
However, I also have never agreed with the lockdown rules either. Being able to stand in the same shopping aisle as a stranger shopping in Tesco but not being able to go and say hello to your gran over the fence while walking past , when she is sitting in her own front garden, makes absolutely no sense at all and was, in my opinion, just an exercise in mass public compliance, as is the clapping business also.
The man has no integrity whatsoever! Doubt if Boris Johnson will be seen fronting any news conference.
I’m sure a phone call to No 10 would give them child care IF things became dire which obviously it didn’t. How about all those families who have not been able to see loved ones who are dying. My neighbour lost her father and no-one was permitted to the funeral - he was cremated directly from the hospital. They followed the government rules/guidance which obviously don’t apply to the likes of Dominic Cummings
I see written here a lot of newspaper gossip. It has been states by him that he lived in a property near his parents and his sister a niece brought food to the door. He did this because he wanted his four year old son to be looked after if he became ill as his wife was. There are words somewhere about those vulnerable such as a child in person's care would be a reason not to stay in person's house if care needed to be found. I think if it had been me I would have done the same. A side point....maybe those found partying in their own houses or having family visit every weekend should have their furlough payments stopped. They are the ones who need to be punished rather than the persecution being done here..
So theres EVEN MORE relatives in London who could have helped them???it gets worse! Well they probably wouldnt have been there to help them AS PROBABLY THEY WERE ALL ALREADY UP IN DURHAM waiting for Cummings & his family to arrive!!!
ug whichever way you try to spin it it doesn’t work does it?
He won't know if he's cummings or going.
Oh gosh! Cummings as it coming for him. The most disturbing thing is they never drove all that way without a break!!! That surely is illegal and a crime and he should be punished.
But if his the one behind the new slogans and helping Boris to appear more ridiculous then he already is this will be a slap on the wrist. Let's not forget Boris carried on handshaking in the very beginning.
I only wish we have more working class people who become politicians who have their feet on the ground instead of those who pride themselves in do as I say not as I do..
So it's ok for people to travel hundreds of miles to go to other people, as long as they live stay somewhere else in the grounds?
PAT9 Cath Calderwood isn't a politician ,she was the chief medical officer giving advice she wasn't sticking to.....just like Cummings.Do as I say not as I do .Sadly there are tories on here who think thats acceptable .Hopefully the public at large dont agree and he and his puppet ride off into the sunset together to lie to each other for the rest of their lives.Shocking you cant see the facts ..there were people in LONDON who could have helped.Every other family in the same position had to isolate and get food delivered ,he shouldn't be an exception
My daughter had the virus. Her husband and 4 year old son self isolated. Would it have been OK for them to come to stay with me. I think not!
Cummings wasn’t staying with his parents though was he Rank8487a? He was in their (huge) garden. In another, self-contained building.
I think the answer to that is evident by his response to all this.
Arrogant, entitled little man.
Callistemon I'm 70 and have driven (as I said) for more than 4 hours.
I've also had my GD (from age of 2) in the car for a lengthy journey without a stop.
There have been many many times I seen a car pulled up with a small child taking a pee (or even on a potty). Yes - I know most of his journey would have been motorway.

I'm surprised at just how many GNs believe what is in the press.
I watched the CV update yesterday and thought Dr Jenny Harries did a good job on Saturday. Had to repeat herself so many times and handled questions as well as she could with no "er er er" as did Transport Minister. I was angry at myself with watching as much as I did, as all the questions were about the one topic. After yet another question about Cummings, I switched off. Surely the reporters watch each other, and yet didn't have the common sense to think "I'll not ask the same question again".
?
It's not just that he's been "found out" that's pissing everyone off Aepgirl, it's his arrogant, "f**k you" attitude and the ever revealing lies that's got everyone riled. Possibly, if he had had the good grace and humility to acknowledge he'd made the wrong decision, and maybe if he'd apologised as soon as this became public knowledge, he might have garnered a little empathy and understanding. But his knee jerk reaction was "who cares what you think?" And then he lied a little bit more.......
And his Range Rover is hardly environmentally friendly either! Has this man NO shame?
Other people in politics and the house of commons have had to resign for same thing- and he should have thought of that before he did it! Im sure theres others can step into his shoes to 'tell Boris what to do' just same as cummings can!
I think at the time he went up we weren’t supposed to drive more than a few miles from home for exercise?
If it was genuine I'm sure they would have had other options for providing care for the child if both its parents were so sick they couldn't care for it.
So many people are ‘breaking the rules’ and nothing is done. Dominic Cummings should not have done so but he has been publicly ‘found out’ - others are just able to shrug it off.
Dominic Cummings is a very able man and Boris Johnson needs all the help he can get at this time. We're facing a major health crisis and about to face an even worse economic crisis. Perhaps a bit of mea culpa from him, apologies to the country (the press) and anyone else who feels hard done by, and then everyone can GET BACK TO THE BUSINESS IN HAND.
Well, guess what, Missgran. This is the News and Politics forum.
What did you expect to see? Knitting patterns?
Im starting to doubt either of them had it and thought they could get away with going on a jaunt to see his mum for her birthday& be with the family while uncle was ill/dying if they said they "were so ill they needed to go seek childcare for their child" as that was an 'important reason' to go there!

What makes you think that Missgran? Do you not feel that Cummings has behaved appallingly?
