That blue with the orange looking panelling just looks cheap and hideous.

They obviously gave the tech contract to experts in tech security. It's not as if the heart of our government has any secrets from the Russians.

I wonder if it's crawling with bugs?

Don't mind the cost but think the contract should have gone to a British firm without question.

And it looks so cheap. Someone must have made a fortune out of this. I worked in IT so realise the tech would be costly if it’s any good. Going by the chairs and panelling I have doubts about it.

The cuts are for us- not for them. They have a forest in their backyard.

At a time when we keep being told that there will be cuts to come, there is no 'magic money tree', that there is no money to pay nurses more than 1% and so on, I can't for the life of me understand the need to spend £2m on a glorified newsroom.

It's almost as though the way the message is delivered matters more than the message itself, isn't it?

What is wrong with what they had?

How many flags do they need? Why does the lectern read Dow Reet? How much did the Henry Hoover cost? I think they could have got those chairs a lot cheaper.

I was trying to find a defence for this that the Conservatives could use, but had to give up.
