Wills and Harry rift blown out of proportion

I've thought all along that the so-called "feud" between the brothers has been exaggerated by the media. Brothers fall out as anyone with sons will tell you. Usually they make it up and everything is forgotten, but with Harry leaving the country and the press delighting in nasty gossip, a small disagreement has grown into all out war.
At least one reporter thinks as I do.

Well it is childish, its 3 year old behaviour.

I'll take that. At least it proves it was an innocent choice of nickname.

Childish maybe but some people will find racism in a donkey’s hind leg.

lemongrove Sat 24-Apr-21 13:41:02

Amazing isn’t it, all the posters on here who say they have zero interest in Harry and Meghan or the RF and yet here they are again, popping up all the time to tell everyone how bored they are with threads that criticise H and M.
Here’s a thought....stay off a thread you don’t like and find boring?

I'm not interested in Harry and his family life, but I am interested in how easily people can be made to think that someone is all over the news. That people don't realise they are being manipulated is a mystery to me.

The nickname for Omid Scobie is childish, and possibly racist, by they way.

Yer what??? ?

I was not a fan of Diana but I just think that she would be heartbroken over the rift between her sons and she would never have allowed it to happen.

But their lives would have been different had she not died so who know? Full House btw

Ok. That sounds pleasant.

What? Like nicknaming someone Tintin or Peter Pan for example. A different era.

Obsession with an individual isn’t mentally healthy though.

It is like stalking on line.

Quick count:
Number of GN threads with Boris in the title this month = 4
Number of GN threads with Harry in the title = 1 from what I can see.

Thread title is irrelevant.....many many threads turn into Harry “debates”

Yes it is, and yes I have.
Many years ago my neighbour threatened to kill my tortoise that had wandered into her garden. Then she added i got the last people out of that house and I’ll get you out
Then I hit her.
She called the police. I told them to tell her that if she threatened me with my house, again, I’ll hit her again.
No more was said.

Counting names in thread titles isn’t really a vey accurate way of measuring interest in said persons imo

Harry is some minor Royal with no impact on my life or yours.
Exactly, which is why so many are exasperated at finding him in the news on a daily basis. Oprah and Gayle and Scoobydoo etc are all infuriatingly contributing to this from one side, then journalists on this side refute the information given. Then half the world and his uncle join in. Then GNs pick up on it, including those who say they are not interested, and the comments fly.

Alegrias1 Sat 24-Apr-21 12:31:43

Boris is meant to be running the country. I think we should be talking about him and his policies, and his performance in government.

Harry is some minor Royal with no impact on my life or yours.

Emily perhaps you could try to be a little less judgmental.

Smileless I agree about Oprah’s acting skills. I was assured by many on here of how good an actress she was previous to ‘the interview.’ I only saw snippets of it but I did see her ‘acting’ when she expressed surprise about the question about Archie’s skin colour. If she has now said she was surprised that the colour of skin issue was discussed, then I find that difficult to believe, as I find it equally difficult to believe that the questions to be asked weren’t discussed beforehand, as they are in all interviews of this kind. Yes, possibly Oprah is trying to row back, the flack from this interview can’t have done her reputation much good at all.

Plenty of posters being exceedingly judgmental about said Harry.

Bridgeit Sat 24-Apr-21 11:24:23

I think it was a case of her lack of interview skills & false surprise , you could say it was. Oprah-the- top! ?sorry couldn’t resist .

Anniebach Sat 24-Apr-21 11:17:45

suzie. Though so ?

Are we witnessing the first glimmers of hope for a Suzie/Annie truce?

suziewoozie on the bright side, we can ignore any threads which we find boring.

But sometimes the temptation is just too great ???
