Thank you Varian - it's definitely had a life of its own!

What interesting hair you have had over the years Fanny!

Charlotte had dark brown hair last time I saw her photo. Now she's almost blonde. Do you think she has had highlights ?

No, absolutely not.
I was born with black hair, then when I was around three it went dark blonde (like Charlottes's), then when I was 11 it was medium auburn. It's also been straight, wavy, and now curly.

Why don't you lot ask Gnet HQ for a Royal Family forum?

Anniebach Sun 02-May-21 12:01:49

Best they don’t publicly speak of their private lives, it opens food gates

Anyone in the RF needs to be feisty to survive these days. It must be hard with all the stuff the press make up that they are supposed to have said/done!

George seems a sensitive little boy. There is a clip of the family
leaving Church at Sandringham, George held his fathers hand as they passed the crowds, Charlotte went to the crowds and accepted flowers, she refused to pass them to anyone.

Beautiful little girl, who looks as though she is feisty which is a good thing in my opinion.

Ellianne Sun 02-May-21 10:38:35

Yes Fanny and my proud mum sat in the Spencer box at the Royal Albert Hall to watch! Memories.

Anyway, enough about me.
Charlotte has her head screwed on too with the press. Do you remember after Louis' christening she shouted bossily to photographers, "you're not coming in" when they to private quarters?

FannyCornforth Sun 02-May-21 10:29:37

Thank you Ellianne
Oh, I agree; I meant that if I started a thread about books about Royalty it might go pear shaped! smile
It must have been fabulous to get your degree from Anne

Ellianne Sun 02-May-21 09:49:35

I'm not sure I am knowledgeable in this area Fanny. I haven't read many books on the subject.
I think as a born and bred Londoner I just soaked up what was going on at the time and the Royal Family were sometimes "there". (Princess Anne handed me my degree, I went to all the Chatles and Diana events and several of my own family are clergy or services so I am interested).
There is no reason why this thread in particular should go any other way unless a poster is being petty and wanting to argue.

Anniebach Sun 02-May-21 09:41:28

Sorry forgot, be prepared for new Diana books this year.

Anniebach Sun 02-May-21 09:39:24

Fanny a thread ? don’t mention Diana, Megan, Camilla, Kate, Charles, Andrew, Harry , shouldn’t be any disagreements!

I too would find a thread on Royalty interesting, but some can’t
see them as human beings with the same emotions as we have.

FannyCornforth Sun 02-May-21 09:20:17

Ellianne and Annie, you are both very knowledgeable about Royalty.
Are there any particular books which you have read that you would recommend please?
I did think about starting a thread - but would probably go the usual way!

Anniebach Sun 02-May-21 08:59:25

They will have time to be themselves , unlike their poor paternal grandfather who was heir to the throne age 4.

FannyCornforth Sun 02-May-21 08:47:15

Sorry - cross posts.
Yes, she does.
She's got quite a gene set.

FannyCornforth Sun 02-May-21 08:46:21

And Middleton ladies are very strong characters!

I'm convinced that Charlotte will be Queen.
Even at just six years old, there is something very special and formidable about her.
I don't think that George will be monarch.

And she even looks so much like her GGM too Fanny!

I can’t believe I forgot to tell that one to Gdd1, who was 6 just over a week ago!

Aveline Sun 02-May-21 07:22:33

Very apt. Lovely photo of wee Charlotte.

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 02-May-21 07:20:37

That’s lovely

Ellianne Sun 02-May-21 07:19:41

When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.
When I was Three
I was hardly me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five,
I was just alive.
But now I am Six,
I'm as clever as clever,
So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever.
