Johnson is only popular in England ( not Scotland Wales or NI) , and then not in the big cities. The tories have basically rebranded themselves as the English Nationalists/ Brexit party.

The proof is there for all to see. Labour has been buried in these local elections. Johnson is by no means a good PM but he is seen as the lesser of two evils. What is there not to understand?

What proof is there that there is no viable opposition other than the fact that we’re constantly being told that there isn’t one? The shadow cabinet seem far more sensible and intelligent than their government counterparts ( imo).

? agree

I think it is because at the moment there is no realistic opposition. Simple as that. Fingers crosses that by the next GE there will be a decent?? party. I have three grandchildren and I want their future to be bright in this country.

Labour have always done well in Wales surely? Just as they used to in Scotland before the SNP pinched their votes.

Labour have done very well here in Wales. People seem to like Mark Drakeford. So why the disparity with England?

I think Peter Mandelson summed it all up perfectly:
lose, lose, lose, lose, Blair, Blair, Blair lose, lose, lose.

The Labour future chasing the last traditional labour voter down a rabbit hole or waking up to the new social order and adjusting to it.
