Who are all these countries who are envious of us for having a monarchy? They may admire the Queen but that doesn't mean they want one of their own.

I don't think that many people are fleeing to this country because we have a constitutional monarchy.

The monarchy is doing a good job, and we are the envy of a number of countries around the world, so why would you want to change something that is working well? Just look around the world that there is corruption in the voting, the citizens are dictated to, and some flee to this country to get away. I rest my case.

Yes good isn't it. The comments are interesting too worth a read. It's more the younger people who want a democratically elected Head of State. But more people could get on board when the truth is pointed out to them.

Do you want President Johnson, President Starmer, President Corbin, President Cameron, President Blair even? Most of us would have serious issues with one or all of these.

In my experience the sensible decent people are not interested in pushing themselves forward to gain power and the current raft of ego maniac Presidents make me more appreciative of the Royal Family rather than taking them for granted as i’ve tended to do during my lifetime.

At the moment, I see no reason to change. That could change with time, depending on how the monarchy conducts itself.

Well its a free country (despite what some people seem to think) so Grany can post about any legal thing she wants. And anybody can make their comment, of course.

As for who would be head of state, we've answered that about 146 times.
