To turn up looking like a tramp is showing clear disrespect to all the fallen.

It is funny or clever, it is a disgrace.

Boris looks like a clown, acts like a clown , and behaves like a clown,
Can you imagine the outcry if a woman PM looked as unkempt as he does ?

Never mind his hair or clothes- this was a WHOLE TWO YEARS AGO ... and things have not improved, have they. Well done young woman was seeing right through him

She was spot on!

Cheer up, it could be worse. Brexit may have undermined the “Entente Cordiale” between France and Britain, but at least Harry Potter was chosen over Peppa Pig by Le Creuset to launch it's new range of pots and pans.
The oven gloves look good for juggling hot potatoes.
Boris hasn't thought of likening himself to a wizard yet.

Mark my words, Boris Johnson will be gone by Christmas

Sean 0'Grady in the Independent.

no. not my words this time- but I did say it would happen quickly when it does.

... not sure it will by Christmas, but I think those behind the scenes, the donors and backers, will at some point pretty soon decide he's attracted too much criticism and negative publicity and will want him gone.

He's good for photo' opps and one-liner quips - not to mention mantras, but when it comes down to the real nitty gritty of hard work, detail, he fails - dismally IMO. I honestly don't think he was cut out to be a PM, he lacks the gravitas.

I don't care about his personal life, nor the way he looks - none of it really matters, but I do care very much about the fact that he made a mess of the Deal and that the country is suffering the repercussions, whilst he continually blames the EU for what are, largely, his own failings.

I'm sure he'll move on, unscathed, and have a very lucrative 'career' on the after-dinner speech circuit.

It has been pointed out on Facebook that he is using Peppa Pig to distract attention from what his party is doing with the NHS….

I said he'd never be PM.

I had to eat my hat and give my crystal ball a good Windolening.

I'm a bit of an expert on Peppa Pig due to DGC's constant fascination.
Off topic a bit, but did you know a new book was published last month about having vaccinations?

Peppa is always on trend, Josianne.

Unfortunately, I can't justify watching her now, the DGC have grown out of her programmes.

Kali2 Mon 22-Nov-21 20:05:57

Yes, many people thought it was 'funny' - few, if any, still do. You probably are in the 2%.

lemongrove Mon 22-Nov-21 20:01:41

Yes kali ? You have certainly been saying that for a long time.Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

It’s hardly ever ‘a great performance’ from Boris Johnson as far as speeches are concerned, so nothing new there.Mind you, David Cameron was excellent at it ( but not at being a great PM.)
It’s Johnson’s persona, being eccentric.?

He is obviously quite an authority on Peppa Pig!

He does remind me of Daddy Pig a bit. The hair is wrong but there is a similarity, maybe the wasitline?

Poor Daddy Pig - he's always in the mire, only the depth varies!

If we lived in a democracy, where a government could only be elected with the support of the majority of electors, we could NEVER have endured the excruciating embarrassment of this Boris Johnson becoming the leader of our country.

Kali2 Mon 22-Nov-21 19:24:05

Well, perhaps there is hope- no-one has come to say that it was a great performance by Johnson. Is the penny finally dropping?

I saw the CBI speech. It was excruciating to watch. How on earth will UK earn respect around the world. Is anything safe in his hands? Help.

I had to turn it off. I find him hard to listen to at the best of times but even the bit I saw was painful to watch.

Come on, I am sure some of our ardent Johnson supporters will soon be here to give us a perfectly logical and sane explanation.

He’s still recovering from covid and has a young baby to look after….

Ah lol, read the post before looking a poster's name ahahahaha

I hope this does not damage Peppa Pig's reputation.

She must be old enough to be Prime Minister now, surely?

He wasn't lying though.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 22-Nov-21 15:48:33

Opinion is that Johnson was drunk

The opinion was that Starmer was head and shoulders above Johnson, but quite frankly it is such a low bar……
