Will this 54y old give Macron a run for his money next April? She will lead the Republicans into the French presidential election as the party's first female candidate. Have the French had enough of Macron or will they say ‘non’ to Mde. Pecresse?

Here she is.

I think it's unlikely we'll see a female President in France.

Macron it is then. Again.

I’ve just read her Wikipedia entry. She sounds ghastly.

Is she? How so?
I’ve not done any research on her just looking at the newspapers headlines.

It’s said that Pecresse is the candidate that Macron would least like to face in the second round. Macron wanted a repeat of the 2016 election and face off against Le Pen that would virtually guarantee his victory.

The far right split threatens to upset his plans. Should the far right vote split between Le Pen and Zemmour, Pecresse would get the second round slot - giving France its first genuine choice of candidates in 15 years.

You've mentioned the unmentionable ?
