Piers Corbyn Arrested

Apparently he told an anti-vax mob to hammer MP’s and burn down their offices. If this is the truth and he did say these things, he deserves to go to prison as he’s a danger.

After the deaths of Jo Cox and David Ames’s, it’s shocking that the, supposedly intelligent, brother of the former leader of the Opposition could be so irresponsible and reckless.

It was a thing in the US, I believe, with Trump's supporters saying how violent all the Democrats were. While they, the Trump supporters, were storming the Capitol.

Goodness knows why people fall for it, but there you are.

tickingbird Sun 19-Dec-21 13:09:51

Let’s not turn this thread into a left/right argument. I know anti vaxxers who are pretty right wing. It’s nothing to do with that. He’s inciting violence against MP’s and he is dangerous.

Doodledog Sun 19-Dec-21 13:10:26

Things are not going so well for the right wing of the UK government just now. Perhaps that explains the need for some of their followers to clutch at straws to be offensive towards supporters of the left?

As for Piers Corbyn - of course he should have been arrested, and of course he should go to jail if he is found guilty of inciting violence. It doesn't matter in the slightest whose brother he is, though - many families, even those right at the top of society have members who are a total embarrassment, and it doesn't mean that they represent the views or behaviour of the rest of the family.

Kandinsky Sun 19-Dec-21 13:10:28

Well, maybe lefties should stop calling ALL
brexit voters racist, thick, idiots.
That would be a good start.

Alegrias1 Sun 19-Dec-21 13:11:02

?

Kandinsky Sun 19-Dec-21 13:12:30

Anyway, apologies for derailing.
I’ll let you get back to discussing Corbyn.

maddyone Sun 19-Dec-21 13:13:17

Thank goodness he’s been arrested at last. He’s been involved in various anti lockdown, anti mask, anti vaccine demonstrations pretty well all through the Covid period. I’m surprised he hasn’t seen arrested before.

tickingbird Sun 19-Dec-21 13:14:41

Some impressionable protesters are quite likely to do as he says. I’m appalled, I really am.

Chewbacca Sun 19-Dec-21 13:18:18

Piers Corbyn is neither a true left nor right wing supporter; he's just a loud mouthed, aggressive yob who hitches himself to wherever he can to shout his ill informed crap the loudest.

Iam64 Sun 19-Dec-21 13:24:57

Yes - succinctly put Chewbacca

glammanana Sun 19-Dec-21 13:40:54

I would hope the full strength of the law came down on him for making such comments irrelevant as to whose brother he is.

GillT57 Sun 19-Dec-21 13:41:03

well said Chewbacca. He wouldn't even merit a mention let alone an inflammatory rant from Kandisnky if he wasn't the brother of Jeremy Corbyn. He was reported by many people including Yvette Cooper, a raving leftie if every there was one. I know a couple of staunch anti-vaxxers, and they are more on your side of the political divide Kandisnky, I wonder; would you report them if they did the same or or is this just a fine opportunity to rant at those of us who are smart enough to see through Johnson?

Hear, hear!
(dipping toe into political thread--a first. ?)

I'm known for my "succinctedness" Iam64! smile

JaneJudge Sun 19-Dec-21 14:02:48

I thought the far left and the far right met in the middle?

I only saw him do that fart in your trousers thing on the tube and thought he seemed mentally unwell.

Galaxy Sun 19-Dec-21 14:04:01

shock thankfully I missed that one.

JaneJudge Sun 19-Dec-21 14:10:22

No you haven't <cringe>

Surely normal, stable men his age don't do that kind of thing? confused

This thread will be gone soon…

Before it goes, I'd like to say his arrest hasn't come a moment too soon.
Well done Yvette Cooper.

He must be an embarrassment to his family.

He's an anarchist
Or seriously unwell.

Perhaps both.

Allsorts Sun 19-Dec-21 14:47:12

I don’t care who he supports, he should be arrested for inciting violence. I do think he might be deranged though and I thought his brother and the company he keeps bad enough.

maddyone Sun 19-Dec-21 14:51:25

^He’s an anarchist.

Indeed he is. It’s very strange behaviour from a man of his age. I wonder what influenced him that made him into what he is now. I’m glad he’s been arrested and I would be perfectly content if he was sentenced to prison, although I doubt he will be. His risky behaviour isn’t confined to singing childish songs on the tube, from what I’ve heard he was inciting arson, which can of course cause deaths.

All 'lefties' do no such thing.

There are some who vote Labour (not particularly left wing these days) who may think those things, but by no means all. If you remember, it was Brexit that divided the LP, as the party was in favour of Remaining, but many of the voters were not - a lot of so-called 'Red Wall' seats moved to blue because of Brexit.

Kandinsky Sun 19-Dec-21 17:35:24

Yes you’re absolutely right, many Labour supporters voted brexit.
I meant to say ‘remainers’ - but then it’s not all remainers who think that way either - just some.

... good swerve there grin

As for Piers Corbyn, the man is both ridiculous and uninformed - not to mention dangerous.

Back in September, he was apparently kicked out of an event after heckling brother Jeremy Corbyn over the Climate crisis.

I suspect the two are not close...

Iam64 Sun 19-Dec-21 18:06:07

The other good swerve was the ‘apology’ for de-railing the thread. Talk about making a noise and contributing nothing
