And all his military titles have been returned to HM The Queen.

Anniebach Sat 15-Jan-22 17:02:20

I quoted her, are her words vitriolic ?

Summerlove Sat 15-Jan-22 16:53:20

If neither of you genuinely don’t know why it’s a nasty comment, then I feel very sorry for you.

I’m not protective over one person, but over women who have been trafficked and abused. But I know neither of you think that happened either.

But go on, have at it. Keep putting VG down if it makes you feel better about your lives.

Anniebach Sat 15-Jan-22 16:48:15

Thank you eazybee some are so protective of Giuffrie

eazybee Sat 15-Jan-22 16:45:49

It is not a comment of pure vitriol, it is repeating Virginia Guiffre's words.

Anniebach Sat 15-Jan-22 16:42:39

Why is it nasty Summerlove ?

Summerlove Sat 15-Jan-22 16:39:38

What a nasty comment Annie. I know you disbelieve her, but that’s just pure vitriol for no reason

Anniebach Sat 15-Jan-22 16:00:38

Quite unbelievable, you can win millions of pounds on a
probability, and a photograph.

She must be so thankful she kept a photograph of a man who
allegedly fill her with fear, sexually abused her and dripped
perspiration over her.

Anniebach Sat 15-Jan-22 15:54:13

Thank you Elegran I have been to Wessex and didn’t know.

Elegran Sat 15-Jan-22 14:17:16

25Avalon Sat 15-Jan-22 14:13:34

You don’t have to prove it. For a civil case it’s on the balance of probabilities.

lavendermine Sat 15-Jan-22 14:09:51

Oh goodness, I never thought about Beatrice and Eugenie having to give evidence. How dreadful. Such lovely young ladies. What an awful shame if this has to happen.

I think PA is being hung out to dry simply because this business is dragging on unresolved, and the longer it does the more he becomes 'guilty by association'. However, you cannot prove someone knew something and they cannot be convicted on something they might not have known. It hasn't been proven how much Andrew knew about Epstein. As for his evening with the girl in question, she was 17 years old which is past the age of consent in this country. Maybe he didn't even know her age, might have thought she was 18 or 19, who knows? It just seems the dreadful stink this is creating may be more than it actually is. If he did bed her then he has made this a whole lot worse by lying about it, but so far this has not been proven.

Anniebach Sat 15-Jan-22 13:52:08

Thank you Grandmagrim the majority here have reached a verdict of guilty .

paddyann54 Sat 15-Jan-22 13:42:44

Grandmagrim Trafficking or using trafficked HUMAN BEINGS is illegal, criminal. But as someone said upthread he's not accused of bringing her here ...as far as we know .He DID know his friends were traffickers though and stayed freinds with them even after Epstein was charged .You know what they say about guilt by association? Run with the dogs die ?with the dogs

Thank you Calistemon , apologies to the people of York, it
brought to mind my husband at the time of the investiture of
Charles as Prince of Wales, and having to stand watch over lake
Vyrnwy when the Welsh army wanted to blow it up

This woman Yorkshire ex resident of York wasn’t the least insulted by your quick wit Anniebach. I think it’s a ridiculous position for the York mp to take and is doing nothing more than jumping on the let’s kick a man when he is down bandwagon. These days it seems that accusation = guilt acquittal =got away with it.

For the hard of comprehension Prince Andrew is not facing a criminal charge and is NOT accused of anything that in this country is deemed criminal.

He has now put his daughter into the insidious position of being called as witness, presumably to say that indeed they went to the pizza cafe on the night he was at a night club.

What a charmer.

Better late than never!

I don't feel all that sorry for the Queen, though. She must have known, or at least ought to have known, for years what her children and grandchildren were getting up to.

The time to curb any of them was many years ago, as far as I can see.

That’s one of those posts that make
Me wonder what kind of gilded life the poster lives. Alternatively, maybe you don’t know everything about your children and grandchildren grandetante.
It’s also an unreal expectation that parents have the power to curb the behaviour of their adult children

Charleygirl5 Sat 15-Jan-22 13:09:55

I do not think he should be called Prince or Duke. Plain Mister should be fine.

I do feel very sorry for his two daughters- they must feel humiliated by their father's alleged actions.

Will Sarah stay with him?

Elegran Sat 15-Jan-22 13:09:46

grandtanteJE65 Did your grandmother know everything that you did?

Anniebach Sat 15-Jan-22 12:45:00

varian I have something in common with that Marquis ?

Anniebach Sat 15-Jan-22 12:42:08

grandtanteJE65 no mother / grandmother knows everything their children / grandchildren are up to

I failed at Geography, where is Wessex

Where is Wessex indeed?

The late Marquis of Bath (the one with the wifelets) once stood as a candidate in an EU election representing the Wessex Regionalist Party.

I was canvassing for the Liberals in the marketplace of a nearby small town and I spotted him handing out leaflets.

He was wearing a multi-coloured jumper, shiny waistcoat and patchwork velvet trousers. He had long flowing hair and his beard was woven into numerous little pigtails.

When he handed me a leaflet, I asked him where Wessex was - AND HE DIDN'T KNOW!!

I told him I was not a Scottish Nationalist but I did at least know where Scotland was.

Needless to say he didn't get many votes and that was the last time I heard of the Wessex Regionalists.

The RF are not adopting the wait for the Sue Gray report strategy then.
Anniebach you are comparing him to the Yorkshire Ripper? Why? What do you know that we don’t?

I don’t think Anniebach was actually comparing Andrew to the Yorkshire Ripper. I think she was comparing the sentiment that he was tarnishing the reputation of the people of York, with that prevailing at the time of the Yorkshire Ripper. Not the same thing.
