Its terribly naïve to think that just because you didn't see Putin on your Facebook timeline that there was no Russian impact on the way the Brexit vote turned out. Not being on any social media isn't an excuse either, because some of the material that landed on my doormat from a variety of different "Vote Leave" organisations was clearly lying about the EU and its future direction of travel, as has now been proved post-referendum.
All of us, one way or another, are influenced by a biased press and an environment where foreign governments could easily sway the voting intentions of the electorate by spreading misinformation. Anyone who says they weren't affected and made their minds up solely on the truthful evidence that they were presented with, is fooling themselves. That's not how it works any more.
