What does Sunak have to gain by staying. Better to take a gamble and resign and see if he can rebuild reputation later. And he gets to do damage to Johnson on the way out. Whats not to like for him.

MayBee70 Tue 12-Apr-22 14:28:46

I’ve contacted my MP (again)! Might write to Roger Gale as well regarding those letters of no confidence regarding Johnson.

Mamie Tue 12-Apr-22 14:27:10

It will be interesting to see if Sunak resigns. Could explain why he moved the family out of the Downing Street flat to Kensington, because his daughter is going to boarding school. ?

Petera Tue 12-Apr-22 14:24:41

If Sunak calculates that his time is up anyway then he could resign and put Johnson under considerable pressure.

JaneJudge Tue 12-Apr-22 14:24:23

I think Dick snitched

Galaxy Tue 12-Apr-22 14:21:12

Cross post volver grin
I was going to use the children and snitching line too. Restraint has always been my problem. smile

Galaxy Tue 12-Apr-22 14:19:53

The government said they would confirm if either received a fine. And they have.

volver Tue 12-Apr-22 14:19:46

Nobody has "snitched", we're not in primary school.

Number 10 said they would admit it if the two of them got fined. And they did.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 12-Apr-22 14:15:52

I have just watched BBC lunchtime news, it was reported that 30 additional fines have been issued and that the police will not be releasing the names.

Who has snitched ?

Whitewavemark2 Tue 12-Apr-22 14:14:08

Astounding coincidence that it is announced during the Easter break.

I don’t think so?

Esspee Tue 12-Apr-22 14:10:16

You can always tell when Johnson is lying.
His lips move.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 12-Apr-22 14:08:32

So will he be hauled into parliament to answer the charge.

Over to you Mr half wet speaker

MaizieD Tue 12-Apr-22 14:07:35

I expect he'll be hoping we've all forgotten about it by the time he gets back from his Easter hols...

Whitewavemark2 Tue 12-Apr-22 14:06:17

Oh sorry I didn’t see this and have started another thread. I’ll get it zapped

volver Tue 12-Apr-22 13:56:28

Surely that's it?

Surely no more excuses?

He broke the law. sad

JaneJudge Tue 12-Apr-22 13:51:58

He committed crimes against fashion yesterday

Curlywhirly Tue 12-Apr-22 13:51:23

Well shouldn't Johnson now resign? We now have proof he lied to Parliament.

Casdon Tue 12-Apr-22 13:50:45

You can’t lie your way out of a crime you’ve been found guilty of.

TillyTrotter Tue 12-Apr-22 13:49:07

Could not just one of these Downing Street party-goers tell the truth? At the time. Just one ? ?

BlueBelle Tue 12-Apr-22 13:46:54

He ll lie his way out of everything, it’s all he’s ever known
how many jobs has he been fired from for making stuff up and lying More than one for sure

Petera Tue 12-Apr-22 13:44:02

Johnson and Sunak to be served fixed penalty notices. Will he still maintain he didn't break the law?
