Why are we accepting what is child abuse on so many levels. Not just with the grooming of young minds but the powerful hormones being given to children. And through Chest milk being fed to new born babies, by transgender woman who take powerful drugs in order to induce lactation (which we have no way of knowing the dangerous damaging effects they could have on the babies health) and which are banned in many countries. I weep at the insanity Of humanity, and feel so ashamed of my own passive inaction.

I hope you're right AussieNana that people are sensitively counseled if they appear to have gender dysphoria.
That hasn't always been happening in the UK or in the USA.

It is not sensible to say that as soon as a person is legally an adult they are competent to decide to have treatment that is likely to harm them, if that person has been coached by those around them, maybe from a very young age, to believe that they need that treatment.

Personal opinion of a transman, based on personal experience of "gender-affirming" treatment that has caused huge health problems.

Children and young people who are encouraged to believe they are in the wrong body are being led towards this type of treatment.

If adults wish to take body changing drugs, or have surgery, that might do them harm, then they have a right to do so.

It's totally different with children and teenagers, because they are not emotionally mature enough to make that sort of decision.

Clinics, as with any branch of medicine, should be held accountable if they harm anyone, especially those under adult age.?

That's right - any permanent treatment should only be available to adults.

And of course they should be aware of any risks involved - just like any other medical treatment.

And they do have a right to do that.

Yes I support treatment and support for gender dysmorphia.

And any permanent treatment or surgery here involves in depth counselling first - it would be sad if people were denied that because their issue wasn't seen as real.

There's a national shortage of HRT, leading to a lot of problems for women, who are suffering from the effects of the menopause.

But, luckily, there has been some available for biological men, identifying as women.

The number of adults in the UK being treated for gender dysphoria on the NHS has risen 75 per cent in five years, MailOnline can reveal.

Latest figures for 2021 show more than 11,000 patients received care for the condition that causes sufferers to feel they were born the wrong gender.

This is 74 per cent more compared to the 6,371 patients being treated in 2016.

A gender dysphoria diagnosis is the first step to getting prescribed cross-sex hormone therapies that help trans people develop the characteristics of their preferred gender.

It comes amid a nationwide shortage of hormone replacement therapy which is also used to help alleviate the symptoms of the menopause.

Around 1,600 trans patients were prescribed the female hormone oestrogen in 2021, the most popular HRT drug that is most short in stock.

However, the total figure is believed to be higher because data is only available for four out of the 12 of the gender clinics that provided information to MailOnline.

A current HRT shortage has left menopausal women rationing doses, trading supplies in car parks or turning to the black market.

I dont doubt the process of transition is arduous and complicated but I dont agree we are leading generations into it or any of the other hyperbole he claimed.

I wish politicians were asked what a man is - they might think a little harder about that.

What it needs is for those female students to find their places, awards, and jobs have been taken by males pretending to be female. Or as they get older define that their daughters achievements have been over ridden by males pretending to be female. Being a student is evidently an excuse for shortsightedness.

I agree with this.

I see it as similar to the way many young women can't see the ned for feminism, and think it is passé. Because they are young, they won't have experienced discrimination (yet). At the start of their careers, they are probably on the same salary as men of their age, as it's not until more senior levels that the glass ceiling kicks in, and it's when they have had a career break or maternity leave that they understand how that has affected their prospects.

When they come back from maternity leave to find that a bloke called Gladys who has a wife at home looking after 'her' children has been promoted above them, and has done so by taking advantage of an all-female shortlist policy, she might feel differently, particularly when Gladys and 'her' mates pee all over the floor in the Ladies loos and leave the seat up after them.

Each successful challenge by aggressive trans activists over non-aggressive women forms a platform from which they launch another. I don't support Tories, but the Conservative Union at Warwick Uni were perfectly entitled to invite the Minister of Education, to give a lecture.

The lecture was about a lot of issues, but him saying women didn't have a penis, meant he couldn't attend the lecture in peace.

Honestly, these students just don't get it - academia is fine, but an open mind, the ability to debate sensibly, and compromise, is what gets you through life.?
