Phil Bennett one of the true greats of Welsh Rugby has died. The tributes in the Press are glowing, one of that great amateur side in the 70s.

DH,Llanelli born and bred and lifelong Scarlets fan was sad to hear this news.It’s only a couple of months ago a statue was unveiled of Phil Bennett in Felinfoel.

RIP Phil. Spent many a Saturday afternoon at Stradey Park when I was young. And a few at Cardiff Arms Park, watching Phil Bennett, JPR Williams and Gareth Edwards.
