Another assassination attempt on Donald Trump
It’s been a while so I will start us off…….whats for supper and why?
When I heard the persistent story that there is a court injunction preventing the British press from reporting that Boris got his hairdresser pregnant and she was sent out of the way to Canada I was shocked.
Shocked that he ever had a hairdresser.
Does anything shock you now about Boris?
Here is is (^sniff^)https://www.gransnet.com/forums/news_and_politics/1312450-Boris-Johnson-s-Lies-All-of-Em
Esspee have you seen my ‘Lies’ thread?
(No one is looking at it
)
Hair ruffling - it’s to hide his balding pate.
His hair is getting very fine indeed, he no longer sports his once luxurious mop.
I honestly do doubt that he has a hairdresser.
I half remember a lockdown joke, when everyone was trying to do their own barnets; about Dilyn cutting Johnson’s hair ? ✂️
Ooooooh, I have just read that No.10 has denied the groping claims.
Interesting.
They haven’t denied the blow job in the Foreign Office, the attempts to get his mistress a highly paid government job, nor the use of a private jet to return from a family beach trip.
Can anyone else add things that haven’t been denied so, presumably must be true?
He has a hairdresser????!!!!
‘As for his hair and general appearance - it seems to be a fact of life that some men always looked 'crumpled' due to body shape or poor tailoring, whatever, but shower daily and are clean. Johnson appears to be one of those unfortunate individuals and I'm not, personally, going to condemn him for it.’
This is him on Have I Got News For You a few years ago. Paul Merton actually asked him why he had ruffled his hair before filming.Does he imagine the messy hair adds something to his appearance?

^This made me smile It’s probably a good rule in life everyone, that is not to comment on other people’s sex lives.^
Is 'groping' -assaulting-- people counted as 'sex life', then?
Because if it is, what is the position of these MPs who have been disgraced for their unwanted advances? Should no-one have commented on them?
And if it isn't, then Diane Abbott wasn't actually commenting on Johnson's sex life, just his groping tendencies.
I meant that she left herself wide open to her past being dragged up. Much better when the person making the accusations is beyond reproach.
Stupid me, we were talking about politicians here. ?
Ignore me.

Yes, true and I should not have laughed.
... I don't think there's anything wrong in having a giggle at some of the comments about his hair... I'm still chuckling at the comment from someone who said that he combs it with a toffee apple... And he (Johnson) knows full well that it's a bit, erm, 'refractory', and that constantly mussing it up is going to add to its self-willed style. But his ruffled mop is not a sin!
And he's overweight - so was I eons ago, and I wouldn't have liked it if I'd been judged by the fact.
I'm trying not to be holier-than-thou here... I simply don't think we should hold it against him that he isn't the picture of sartorial elegance. In the same way that Corbyn was ridiculed by Cameron and that mockery and derision was taken up by the media and used as a weapon to denigrate the man - wholly unacceptable IMO - even tho' I wasn't a fan of his. Same principle.

I can’t abide Boris behaviour but I can’t be the only one to raise an eyebrow at this coming from Diane Abbott? She’s not that far behind him on hypocrisy is she (IMO)
Why?

Oh thanks Esspee. I’ll have a look at the post when I sit down for lunch. (I’m posting between jobs now, very naughty.)
……..I would have thought that Diane Abbott would have been wise not to comment about anyone’s sex life.
This made me
It’s probably a good rule in life everyone, that is not to comment on other people’s sex lives. Not just famous people, everyone’s sex lives.
As my mum would have said, he cuts his hair with a knife and fork.
I have heard that before going onstage at Conservative functions he roughs up his hair deliberately. No doubt part of his idea of his cheeky image.
Maddyone the story about the court injunction re. his pregnant hairdresser being shipped off to Canada didn’t come from Diane Abbott, she said that he liked assaulting women but then that comment was cut from her interview. There are links to that up thread.
Personally I would have thought that Diane Abbot would have been wise not to comment about anyone’s sex life.

I agree with your post. It pretty well sums up my opinion too.

I absolutely abhor Boris, but I think Diane Abbot should be above trying to get at him by talking about "rumours" that he assaults women. She should be above something like that. If she knows he does that is different, but "rumours"???
I have to agree with you.
I view Johnson a a dangerous leader. What he leaves behind in terms of Policy and Law will not be easy to unpick. Go he will, ultimately, but in the meantime those of us opposed to the man cannot be seen to be simply 'Boris bashing' just for the sake of having a dig at him, otherwise we lose credibility.
And, in fairness, regardless of his reputation as a womaniser, rumours are just that. There may or may not be truth in them. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they are true, I'd rather stick to the facts. This is too serious for 'gossip'.

Johnson is what Johnson does. And what he's doing to the national as a whole is what matters to me.
Shocked that he ever had a hairdresser
Esspee why do I always read posts like this when I'm drinking a cup of coffee!
He appears to be a serial philanderer although I can't see the appeal. Perhaps he has a SOH and laughs them into bed.
Have I got this right? Did the story come from Diane Abbott?
Interesting!
This rumour aside, it says something when the PM of this country has built such a deserved reputation as a liar that whatever he says/claims/denies, whether in personal or political matters, is simply not believed by the majority of the population.
He is a disgrace.
Aveline
I'm always surprised that the only story complaining about Boris is that twenty year old one about him touching someone's leg. Women seem to fall for his charms. It's incomprehensible to me. I suspect that he must laugh them into bed!
It was Robert Preston’s partner I believe.
If you let one affair go, you might as well let em all go - you can’t be nearly faithful in my book! I actually was looking at the bigger picture with the lovely Diane …the IRA, private schooling for her own son…etc it’s all there if anyone can be bothered!
Curlywhirly
I also am a softie, and even if I am not keen on someone, I don't like to see them picked on - but Johnson really has only himself to blame for all the stick he is getting. I do wonder though how his wife copes with each scandal? I certainly didn't have a very high opinion of her initially (having an affair with a married man) but have to say I am beginning to feel a bit sorry for her, wedded to such a serial philanderer and liar. If she didn't have trust issues with him initially, she surely must have them now.
I'm afraid that looking at Mr & Mrs J. I'm mindful of something a friend said to me about a couple we knew;
"Well, at least they don't spoil two houses"

What, She's a sexual incontinent who goes round groping people all the time?
I don't think that people mind the odd affair as that seems to be part and parcel of most people's lives these days. But with Johnson it's not 'the odd affair', is it?
Nor is it just affairs. There's the incessant lying and outright corruption to be taken into account as well.

Yes, CurlyWurly I agree. I've often wondered how Carrie feels about all this.
Well, if you have a relationship with someone whose married, the odds of them remaining faithful to you aren't good are they.
