He was a superb actor as any fans of this stellar series will know! Can you believe The Sopranos first aired 21 years ago? It is by far my favourite series of all time and the ‘Pine Barrens’ episode was howl-out-laughter! “You got tic-tacs”?”
Tony Sirico was 79 years. Such talent.

Anyone else a fan?

I didn't get into The Sopranos when it was first aired, only during the lockdown, my son gave us the box set and brilliant it was, albeit coming to it late. Yes I was a fan, horrible lot that they were in the series, a testament to their fine acting abilities. Sad to read about Tony Sirico and quite a few years ago the death of the very charismatic James Gandolfino.

We are currently watching Series 5 - this must be the third or possibly fourth time we've worked through the whole lot ! We absolutely loved it from the very start.

RIP Tony/Paulie flowers

I return to it many a wintertime too Spinnaker ? by the way! It never fails to entertain does it? And often I find details I’ve missed whenever I do so. Early December,
I plan to rewatch it, it’s been a while and it chivvies the dark winter afternoons along nicely!

“Paulie Walnuts’ ??

Big fan here of what is arguably the greatest TV series ever, watched it from when it was first shown. My ex son-in-law is another fan, he and I used to phone each other as soon as each episode was finished to discuss it, drove my daughter daft ? I too have the box-set and watch it every few years, and like you Urmstongran I notice something new I’ve missed every time.
Michael Imperioli (Chris Moltisanti) has said a few lovely words about his relationship with TS, and apparently James Caan and TS were big buddies.
I’m an atheist, but I have this lovely mental image of Paulie, Tony Soprano, Harry Hill (Ray Liotta,Goodfellas) and Sonny Corleone (James Caan, The Godfather) sitting on a fluffy cloud, playing cards, knocking back the vino, just generally bull-shitting.

I loved The Sporanos. I also came to it late. I was bereft when it ended. Most of them were horrible but I lived them! I loved Carmela's clothes.
Three of them were touring the UK but it was cancelled due to Covid. I would love to have gone.
I was reading about Tony Sirico yesterday. What a chequered past.

Steven van Zandt said some nice words about him too. I was fascinated some years ago to see that Steven is in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. A man of many talents.

There is a YouTube video of the whole cast receiving an award. They come on to the music of The Jersey Boys. It’s good to see them older.
As he walks past the camera, Artie, the restaurant owner, straightens his bow tie. He always thought himself a ladies man.

It’s the 2007 Emmy awards. The cast come on as tribute after The Jersey Boys slot.

Best show ever.

We have all the DVD’s and periodically watch them all again,
Having a somewhat failing memory helps, I think if you have good recall you may not want to do this.
Very fine acting.

Great show. Had the whole set and occasionally watch episodes on Prime. Like The Godfather it doesn’t date and so watchable. Sad to hear about TS and even sadder to hear about James Caan. He’ll always be Sonny Corleone to me.
