Liz Truss's comments on Mark Drayford

Her comments on other leaders are silly but let’s not pretend that she’s the only one to have made her thoughts on them public - check out Drakefords comments on Boris!

People should respect the role at least, even if they can’t respect the person temporarily in charge!

Some while ago I attended a meeting led by Mark Drakeford and really liked him. He may not be everyone's cup of tea but he seems to talk sense - an attribute that perhaps Ms Truss should consider!

I'm not Welsh but I agree entirely with Ailidh.

Is she really this hapless, rude and undiplomatic? I so then she's the wrong person for the job.

If it's an act then what's the motivation for behaving as she does? Is it to get the job, fail immediately and then have Johnson back as PM via the back door?

The people in the audience who applaud and laugh when she says these stupid and unpleasant things can't be thinking, decent folk can they? It's terrible to think that they're the people who will decide our next PM.

I think her comments about Mark Drakeford and Nicola Sturgeon are appalling. It's not just the vulgar impertinence but the worry about what the hell she might say next that genuinely frightens me, like the plan to pay people less if they don't live in London - oops, no she didn't mean to say that. Who know what might fall out of her mouth next?
