I came on GN and it was first time I've been on a social media forum Some of you should have the kindness of those on BD and many other forums. People who darent come on here. Perhaps you might get wider debate about things. Nothing is Black and White.
The N & P section is sometimes tough but the other forums are usually OK. People on N & P have strong views, often expressed forcefully - because they do care. But the same people on other forums are often kind and gentle.
So you can afford The Gaurdian.! Good luck to you. I used to have to read it too for A level at college. Very interesting articles. I'm a Labour person. Can't afford to read that though.
Just to say that you can read The Guardian online free of charge

Just 1 more thing. Once heard it mentioned (not sure the poster) that there was a question of' uneducated' people having the vote. Was def on a political thread. Well the so called educated who goven our country have done a great job haven't they? Ha
Being educated is not the same as having decent, humane values or empathy with others.
If I hadn't just been a housewife who had MH issues I too might have had an education and could hold my own on this thread. But second thoughts. I'm too kind to hurt others!

So sorry I tried to quote Daisy Anne. I shouldn't be on here tonight. I'm all over the place. Why do I care about what people think of me so much! I'm a wreck.
Please don’t worry about it Sweetpeasue, it’s not personal, and don’t be put off Gransnet because your post was misinterpreted. We don’t all agree with each other, but some of the replies were harsher than necessary.
