Blimey.
You took the words right out of my mouth WWM2.
Serious and organised crime affects more citizens, more often, than any other national security threat and leads to more deaths in the UK than terrorism, war and natural disasters combined.

Let's get terrorist attacks into some kind of context. The vast majority of immigrants, however they arrive in the UK, are not involved.
You suggest, MadeInYorkshire, that the migrants may be mercenaries to pile in when civil unrest happens as you doubt our army boys will want to turn on their own
I'm trying to follow the logic of that but failing.
Perhaps another
might help.
If they are mercenaries then who is paying them?
If civil unrest happens it would presumably be as a result of this Government's actions
Therefore could the Government be paying them to turn on us when civil unrest happens?
If so, why are they trying to stop them coming here?
?
Can someone help me please?

Braverman reminded me of the far right in the ITV programme/documentary highlighted in the Hope Not Hate programme.
She is disgusting. What the hell is wrong with her?
He is going to address his tweet that has caused consternation on here.

They are thinking, "how much can we make for our cronies. Can we now destroy the NHS and the education system?" Not to mention the devastating cuts already made to care, children's services etc they have already made.
Evil to the core.
Although May 2024 seems a "while" we all know how fast this last two or three years has gone so it won't be that long. Hopefully there'll still be enough of the NHS and other organisations left to revive it all. I don't have much faith in any politician at present anyway.
HS2 was supposed to deliver high speed passenger services whilst freeing up the older infrastructure to carry container freight and remove a large number of lorries from our roads. That is where the environmental benefit is to be delivered.
I’ve had to turn off Truss’ conference speech because she makes me so angry. We’ve already learned that trickle down doesn’t happen. This Christmas there will be more cold, hungry and homeless children than ever before. And why? because a few well off Conservative party members couldn’t pull the ladder up fast enough.
The u-turns show that Truss policies are ill-considered and have caused irreparable damage in the first month of her premiership. I cannot bear to think what a mess our country will be in if she is allowed to stay until the next election.
I found out last week that one of the services that has been cut is ear syringing. I have to have my ears syringed every three months, as this is now no longer available I will have to pay £60 a time to have then syringed. Where am I and all the other pensioners who desperately need this service supposed to find another £240 per year, on top of increasing food and heating bills. I believe the removal of this service will mainly effect the elderly, the very people who have paid NI from aged 15 to 60+.
The ones who have paid the most in.
My new hip is retreating further into the distance? Public service cuts are always on the Tory’s hit list. It’s almost as though the Tory party are determined to self destruct
I agree. They are trying to get rid of the NHS by making the system so awful.
I have had shoulder issues for some time and originally went to an osteopath to save the NHS time and money! After several treatments he has said that he can treat the problem but not the rout of the problem - I really need an x Ray or scan.
I messaged the gp, explained the problem and was given an appointment time to to see the practice physio who assessed me and said I need ongoing physio - he’d refer me and I could ring them in 5 days for an appointment - probably a 6 week wait. After 5 days 1 rang, eventually got through and told no referral had been made.
More messages and calls to the gp who then referred me again and ring for an appointment. The no. given was wrong both times. I rang the physio line again. Again they said no referral - then decided there was one but I needed to wait another 5 days before ringing to make an appointment! The original physio had said that I really shouldn’t wait before seeing someone as things only get worse.
In despair I have contact a private physio for assessment and made an appointment for 10 days time. I was loosing the will to live with the NHS.
In the meantime I still have restricted movement, wake at night in pain etc. I know there are lots of people needing treatment, loads worse off than me but the NHS really isn’t there for you when you need it anymore.

Precisely. And we must get more freight back onto the railways. It was Thatcher that supported the road transport lobby over the railways.
Out of interest where is the £350million pounds a week going that Boris Johnson pledged to put into the NHS if we came out of Brexit??

The UK hasn't had a largely agricultural society for centuries.
You are accepting the premise that asylum seekers are mercenaries. Any evidence for that?
Generationally, I only have to go back to my grandfather's family to see that happening, but you are right, it has probably been the way from time immemorial.
So, I will say again, why all the attention on the young men being the first in their family who seek asylum? It seems an entirely reasonable way for families to try and escape whatever it is they are trying to escape.
I will treat your comments about mercenaries with the contempt it deserves. Anyone with two ha'p'orth of brains can see I didn't say anything to the sort.

Oh, come come, Bluedaisy, you know that was only a 'suggestion' ?
if i only could hate the tories,as much as they hate people who don't see their world as they do,lying ,greedy ,sub humans.
I've just signed this petition: petition.parliament.uk/signatures/129138195/signed and emailed my MP about it. It demands a General Election before this 'Government' does any more damage. There are over half a million signatures on it already. There is a 'government response' at the foot of the page as required if a petition achieves 100,000 signatures, which blames Putin's war for the energy crisis which, whilst it is a factor the causes were in motion long ago...
As a nurse of over 40 years (and still working in the NHS) within and outside the NHS, I have never voted to strike. I will this time! I don’t expect this will have a massive impact as I now have a desk job in a specialist role, but it’s the principle. I’m comfortably off, but this is about standing in solidarity with my NHS colleagues, the NHS and other colleagues across the public sector and public services - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I suppose I am part of that anti growth rubbish that Truss (and her little gang )will keep repeating ad nauseum

Tell your Tory MP he needs to tell Brady to change the rules to get rid of the Truss liability.
Sadly, my particular MP is so far up her wotsit I would be wasting my time.

Just checked our MP's website and yes, so is ours. ☹
Just remember all of this come the next election.
Unfortunately, it will take a long time before Labour can sort out this mess, if ever.
We should have had an election instead of these Tory wannabes.
