Just been released.

Lots of black and white footage.

Kisses, laughter, tears.

We don’t have Netflix, so shan’t be watching it.

Not an apologist - I feel quite neutral about this couple - but I am always amazed not just by how strongly Gransnetters feel on this topic but also how they appear to know everything about H and M on a personal footing!

Mamma7 Sat 03-Dec-22 16:56:41

Amazing how many emotional and intimate moments are captured by a photographer. I will watch it trying to resist the urge to egg the tv 🤣 Hope the high stakes comment is explained too!

MerylStreep Sat 03-Dec-22 16:53:14

I’m sure the 10s of thousands of scathing comments on YouTube are fed back to NetFlix.
This is all feeding into there looking at the contract in the new year

MerylStreep Sat 03-Dec-22 16:48:59

I think it’s good that the people who say they aren’t going to watch is good, after all, all that info goes to the big Algorithm in the sky 😉

A thousand of those 👎 were mine. 😄

Coolcoco... I don't get it either. There is so much that I don't watch as well. I would not dream of putting a post on Gransnet saying what I don't watch. I do wonder why people do that...

Slightly off track, the dress that the Princess of Wales is wearing she rented for £74, it retails at £350.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 03-Dec-22 16:37:58

The choker was first worn by Queen Mary, it is loaned curtesy of the reigning monarch.

Joseanne Sat 03-Dec-22 16:28:22

I wish the British press would just start to ignore them and stop putting their photos on the front page.
Sorry to cut in with an observation from 1000 miles away, but today in Vienna it is Catherine who is uppermost in newspapers I flicked through at breakfast. Something about an emerald choker she wore that was Diana's.
Meghan was yesterday's news, (better not use the word "history," on here!).
It's like a circus.

There were more lies than this but I don't have the time to search them out for you.

Probably shouldn't reference them if you don't have evidence or remember them then.

Amazon are offering H's biography free if you sign up to Amazon Audible smile

leeds22 Sat 03-Dec-22 15:58:03

I stopped watching the Crown a few seasons ago and I won't be watching H&M's latest Netflix offering. I wish the British press would just start to ignore them and stop putting their photos on the front page.

I see H's biography is available to order with 50% discount - and it's not out yet. Will be in the remainder bins soon.

I wanted to cancel Netflix but we watch so much on it it was a case of biting off noses to spite faces

Callistemon21 Sat 03-Dec-22 15:53:58

Don't say things like that when I'm drinking tea!

We were going to cancel Netflix because we never watch much on there but I might keep it now so that we can say we're avoiding watching it.

MissAdventure Sat 03-Dec-22 15:48:56

I've a good mind to get Netflix just so I can not watch it!

tickingbird Sat 03-Dec-22 15:46:10

Saying she didn’t know who Prince Harry was for starters. Bare faced lie.

GagaJo Sat 03-Dec-22 15:43:55

Out of interest Sparklefizz, what are all the other lies you're talking about?

tickingbird Sat 03-Dec-22 15:42:59

Harry is quite happy to sell his family out for money, including his late mother. He bleats on about the media hounding them and his mother but is quite happy to take millions from Netflix who are acting out made up scenes of his late mother’s love affairs and death. In the trailer he says nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors - apart from a Netflix film crew!! It’s beyond parody, it really is 😂😂

Sparklefizz Sat 03-Dec-22 15:41:06

The thing is, H & M have been proven to be liars over quite a number of the things they have claimed, and as with any liars, people stop believing them even when they may be telling the truth.

eg. Just one example - M said they were married in the "back yard" 3 days before the wedding... or is the Archbishop of Canterbury lying? It would have been illegal anyway.

Smileless2012 Sat 03-Dec-22 15:26:34

I doubt H&M do far more for causes in the world than any RF member but am happy to see any evidence that supports this claim Keffie.

They are the ones making money from their never ending griping about how awful the RF are and how badly they have been and continue to be treated. If they were to give it a rest and focus on their 'good works' they would be seen in a much better light, although not as wealthy.

hollysteers Sat 03-Dec-22 15:20:45

Keffie12

I'm one of the apologists, another poster mentioned who is now along to comment.

The media and everyone seem to think they can discuss, lie, be racist and use vitriol on them daily, yet they aren't allowed to respond 🙄🙄🙄

They are doing far more for causes in the world than any RF member. We don't hear about those in the mainstream media as that doesn't suit the media dialogue of vitriol

The Sussex couple had a ready made framework for large scale good works within the RF, but they chose to throw that aside.
Have you forgotten the Duke of Edinburgh’s very successful Award Scheme, the Princes Trust etc..?

One of my primary school's teachers son was the potters wheel potter.
My class had to sit and watch it one playtime.
She was a horrible woman, prone to tying childrens arms to their chair if they fidgetted and hitting on the back of hands with a ruler.

Smileless2012 Sat 03-Dec-22 14:10:50

I saw some figures yesterday Meryl apparently 15000 likes and 150,000 dislikes on twitter.

MerylStreep Sat 03-Dec-22 13:36:08

It appears that the response to the video isn’t going down too well with Netflix. So much so that they are going to review the contract in the new year.
I did see the like/ dislike figures this morning. I can’t remember what they were but they certainly weren’t in the Sussex favour.
Looks like they might not get all that £88 million. 😥
