Dame Esther Rantzen has been diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 82.

It's a sign that I'm getting old when familiar names are over 80, getting ill and dying.

Sad news and at the moment there seems to be someone every week. Sylvia Simms the other day. Long live spring and warmer weather, I think it gives everyone a boost.

Sad to hear this I always admired watching her she seemed a very compassionate person.
