I have sympathy for the Nurses,Ambulance Drivers,Firemen and Teachers BUT I wish their unions would find a different method of putting pressure on the government. Strikes affect the public Mums have to take time off work,in some cases the children are left on their own at home,People on hospital waiting list for months have their operation cancelled yet again. Also when citing that newly qualified teachers can get more by stacking supermarket shelves take in to account the pension, and the working hours. I do not support this strike action but do support their claim for pay rises I am not clever or union minded but please find an alternative way of putting pressure on the government

Or alternatively, the Government should listen and respond to the concerns of the people that are reluctantly having to strike.

Or alternatively get rid of this government which is led by someone no one wanted as PM, is implementing policies no one voted for, and is only clinging on because they hope to somehow claw back a little popularity before they are finally forced to call a General Election.

The only mechanism that workers have ever had for putting pressure on their employers is to withdraw their labour if employers refuse to negotiate in good faith. It's been happening since the 19th C.

If there was a better way I'm sure they would have discovered it by now.
