We northerners didn't all vote brexit. and we had Jake the fake as Party Chairman and in charge of the northern powerhouse. It feels like we live in another country.

It feels like that in East Anglia. All MP's Tory bar 1. All absent unless they can get their picture in the local paper. You are not alone.

It cost £14 million to set up a new department, rising to £34million. That would buy a few meals for the people who frequent the foodbank I help at!! Absolutely criminal but that is most Tories. Shows they have no idea about the real world. And don't get me started on 30p Lee!!!!

All the Greenpeace ideas are practical but storing power is very expensive, as a comparison storing coal as has been done for centuries, costs very little.

Using coal as an emergency power source is cheap, using batteries to store power is very expensive and it’s the consumer that is going to pay. Expect power to get more expensive not less.

I used to live near some huge yet brutally attractive gasometers .....then they were gone! Idiots have serious case of short sightedness!! Just what we voted for- a load of cobblers... although where are all the old trades now? Doomed, we're all doomed!!

Bit of a shame they got rid of the Department of Energy and Climate Change just a few short years ago isn't it? A machinery of government change doesn't come cheap.

R Sunak, Prime Minister, First Lord of the Trousury and Minister for Deckchair Reallocation.

It's the demographic that he's meant to appeal to, especially with Greg Hands being a London MP and a remainer.

I agree he’s a sop to the right-wing, and that in itself is a sign of how weak Sunak’s position is. But he’s not a northerner, and nor are all the Brexit-supporting MPs and party members.
