I wonder if they feel more comfortable? With a border of 1340km with Russia I hope Putin doesn’t decide Finkandcreally belongs to Russia.

Finland really!!

Stating the obvious I know but Putin certainly won’t be happy about this.
It’s been on the cards for a while now. though. Finland, sharing a land border with Russia, quite understandably wants the reassurance of being a member of NATO.
How will Putin react, if at all?

There was a big NATO exercise in the sea above Norway and Finland last month. We were there on holiday and we're surprised at all the destroyers and other serious ships about. I think they were 'marking Putin's card'. Quite right too.

Chamberlain tried for appeasement in 1938, and Hitler took it as a sign of weakness and as a green light for his mad, expansionist ambitions. We have another megalomaniac flexing his muscles right now, although it has all gone rather pear-shaped for him, and please God, his days may be numbered. That's exactly why NATO must now remain stronger than ever, and must welcome all countries such as Finland who share borders with Russia, and fear potential invasion. Putin should have been stopped back in 2014 when his forces rolled into Crimea. We're paying for that now, but have hopefully learned our lesson. We must continue to support a free Ukraine, and help them to inflict a convincing defeat on their invaders.

Putin's invasion of Ukraine has caused more countries to join or plan to join NATO. The exact opposite of what he set out to do.
