Yup, me too. You want the services, you pay the tax. In Scotland, we have a slightly more progressive tax system, I am proud to say, but even more so would be better. I am lucky enough to be in a tax-paying bracket, just in case anyone thinks I want other people to pay while I don’t.

I’d vote for that. Higher taxes and public services that actually work, lower pension age.

Tax rates are higher, health service more efficient and pension age lower. What does that tell us?

It tells me that their government spends more money on the citizens than on themselves and their friends. I don’t know what it tells anybody else.

And the French state has control of its electricity and water, they support their heavy industries too.

these last few days and I did see my local garage being filled
up by a tanker today so hoped that was a good sign.
