I too thought there was a decent man behind the facade. (Give or take paying sex workers of course), but when he spoke about racism and his faith he was always very eloquent and sincere.

I loved Jerry Springer. he was a real gentleman. His show was shocking , but it paved the way for reality type shows.

Yes it's hard to see all those people dying in a short space of time BlueBelle think it's hit me harder as they were all around my age.

Last couple of weeks has seen Barry Humphries, Len Goodman, Paul o Grady, Harry Belafonte and Jerry Springer all going, it’s almost like a famous person per day

I remember him being interviewed and he talked about how his dad meticulously cared for his car even though he no longer drove.

He asked him why he was spending time and money on it and didn't want to sell it. His dad said he had to keep it in good working order so they'd be ready if they ever had to get awaysad.

He was an advisor to John F Kennedy, Mayor of Cincinnati and Governor of Ohio.

His parents were Jewish and fled during the war, he was born in an Underground Station being used as an air raid shelter in WW2 London.

So much more to him than the Jerry Springer Show

RIP Jerry 💐

I found it quite painful to watch - but my (older) kids just loved it. A show of it's time - never to be repeated.

He was very successful at what he did, love him or loathe him. He certainly got people talking.
