Northern Ireland: lack of veterinary medicine

Did I hear right today that a member of the DUP said farmers were struggling to obtain medicine for their animals: something to do with the Windsor agreement? Didn’t we point out pre referendum that our ability to obtain medicine, for both humans and animals would be compromised if we left the EU? And didn’t the DUP support Brexit. Seems like a case of turkeys voting for Christmas and then complaining about the end result.

To be honest I can’t remember. I had the tv on and I’m darting in and out from the garden. I only turned the tv on just before PMQT.Oh. DH just told me during PMQT after Keir had spoken and Sunak, as per usual, didn’t answer the question.

I thought NI voted remain in the Brexit.

This vet drugs issue is because some drugs the UK approves are not available in EU or NI, it also applies to many farm chemicals that have been withdrawn by the EU, in many cases there is no effective replacement.

They did. But the DUP supported Brexit. And they still had to leave the EU.
