He is making it sound as though the break up with Chelsy sent him spiralling into depression. He doesn’t seem to mind using women from his past to further his cause and I wonder how Meghan feels about it let alone Chelsy.

I've sort of had a quick scan of Harry's statement, from afar, and it comes across to me like yet another whinge fest. All about his wah didums rough life being a member of the Royal Family. I am right behind him on the phone hacking issue, but not the stupid references to only smoking cannabis while at Eton - (isn’t cannabis considered a drug?), where any other pupil would in all likelihood have been expelled. And the rubbish about Chelsey being so overwrought with all the intrusion that she dumped him. Etc.
Wah wah! Just a rehash of the same old material, which, ironically, the more we have been served up, the less it is now having any effect.

Phone hacking is appalling. Whoever the victim is. I don’t think anyone has disagreed.
My phone calls are mostly innocuous, except perhaps for sharing complaints with my family and friends about OFSTED (which might affect my job) the treatment of my Mum in hospital, (which would embarrass her), but I wouldn’t like them published, and if I could pay to stop that happening, then I would.

You missed the thread where lots of posters said they wouldn’t camp overnight so we’ve already heard that. It was personal choice. How did you decide your choice is superior to others?

I'm wondering about the morality of William's actions. If a thief stole from you and many other people and then offered you your goods back and a substantial amount of money, but ignored all the others, would it be morally right to take the money?
Is settling for cash ever right or just expedient?

William may have been sensible because he's looked after himself. I think as a future king he's a coward for not standing to something that affects everyone. Not everyone has legal teams to protect them if they fall foul of the press. He is a selfish coward. Harry may fail and you will love it forever perverse reason but he's had a go.

Good post GSM. I’m not really a royalist because I think it perpetuates the class system, and I believe we should be a meritocracy, but I’m interested in royalty nonetheless.
I think William was very wise to avoid the attention of appearing in court. That would have been my decision if it had been me.

Seriously who cares. What has Charles done that makes him majestic. This is serious issue. Please read about what phone hacking did to the Dowler family. If Harry fails, at least he has brought phone hacking into the limelight. His brother settled out of court because he's a coward who cares more about his position than what happens to his peasants and this is what gets to me about Royalists, they fawn over these people who really don't give a stuff about the average person.

Yes, the monarch is always H.M, never HRH. Other members of the RF are always HRH, or nothing at all . I would have thought Harry would know this,but?? All those high jinxs when he was young and popular, such a pity that he can't,for once take some responsibility for his own actions instead of always blaming others. As for our government!
