No,there isn't any law that stops you making money out of trashing your family or even out of your dead motber whom you were apparently devoted to, but it is a pretty low down disgusting way to earn a living even if you are too dim to get a decent job and lead a decent life. You'd have to have a pretty low opinion of yourself, not much to be proud of there to tell the children/grandchildren.

With all his money, all his contacts, all his connections with MH groups and organisations, he could have sought the very best of help available, privately, confidentially and very quietly.

I'm sorry to think that because I didnt blame them one bit and wished them well when they left Royal life and went to live, supposedly out of the public eye, in the States.

He can’t put it behind him because he is jealous of his brother. That’s his big problem. Plus, he hasn’t got over Chelsey leaving him and being happily married to another man. I have read on two separate blogs that he didn’t stay at Frogmore but at a private members club last week where he racked up a huge bill on booze. It was also reported that he trashed his room after the court case.

At the age of nearly 40 he needs to grow up. But nothing has worked so far: years of therapy, a stint of carefully managed time in the army, carefully constructed PR regarding the Invictus games designed to rehabilitate his image, his wedding and, apparently, two children. Nothing works and he doesn’t change. I am sure this is the tip of the iceberg and there is a lot more that the public don’t yet know. Which is why he wants the press muzzled.

Oh God If we're discussing what's in Blogs let's not bother. Had he stayed in any private members club in London the press would have known as soon as he signed in. Those places are full of staff who sell them stories..

Is discussing and writing about your problems, making them public so they can and will be dragged up forever is your idea of protecting your children?

I’ve seen evidence on here, that people would like him to stop claiming to privacy, then avoiding it, or telling his version of the truth, which isn’t always the actual truth, but I haven’t seen evidence of people wishing he would lapse into drugs and alcohol

There are lots of posts on here saying he should just have kept quiet.

One of the ways of addressing problems is you go back and deal with them by speaking to the people who were involved and making sure you are heard. So he's addressed them in a book. There's no law says you can't use your therapy to make money. And that seems to be the main complaint. He's spoken and written about his family problems openly and for money. Well tough for the family. They had both the ability and the cash to provide him with what he needed, they chose not to.

I understood that they shared a bedroom at Balmoral and poor Harry has the smaller half, and he only got two sausages to Williams three at breakfast . Tragic indeed! Perhaps it WAS the smaller bedroom, whatever it was has certainly left its mark. I also understood he didn't stay at Frogmore, perhaps the King pre -empting Harry's mood wasn't too keen to potentially having it trashed!

You're right Forsythia. Harry sounds as if he's always been jealous of William, and Meghan is jealous of Kate. They are both vindictive and vengeful and probably stir each other up.

I was amazed that Harry complained in his book that William had the bigger bedroom at Balmoral. That's the sort of comment one expects from a toddler.

We only have Harry's word for it that Chelsy dumped him because of the Press. She may well have got fed up with his alcohol and drug-taking and immature behaviour instead. He said himself in the witness box that she screamed at him down the phone when he went to the lapdancing club and had a lapdance there. The Press weren't to blame for that - Harry was for going there in the first place.

At least with Prince Andrew we haven't been subjected to intimidate details of his brothers anatomy and more besides, which must be a sort of blessing!

So say a lot of us! Thank goodness he was born first. Yes I understand Harry has always had issues , not helped by his parents problems and an over indulgent mother. But surely doesn't excuse the tirade he has subjected his family to, especially his grandparents who truly loved him, and by all reports he was devoted to all to make money or perhaps destroy them on the public stage. If he hates them all so much, why not just go away and leave them and us alone? He has a life style that a lot of us would envy, more than enough money, a beautiful wife, gorgeous healthy children, a luxury home, in a wonderful climate near the sea . Why on earth can't he put the past behind him and be happy with what he has now got and get on with his life going forward instead of constantly
harking back to the past that can't be altered, raking up old coals, making his life and those round him a misery.

He lost me when he publicly criticised his family. That is just plain nasty and vindictive as far as I’m concerned, however ‘bad’ they were.

He hasn’t chosen to face them though and he has slipped into drugs dependency, as he admits himself. But you’re right, the person we see is the person he has always been but it was always covered up by the palace. Now we see him for who he really is and it’s not pleasant.

How was it covered up by the palace? The drug taking was written about, the alcohol and the parties were written about. These are not conditions someone chooses. These are illnesses which are brought about through damage inflicted on a person. Honestly it shows how deep some people's concerns about mental health really go.

I think a lot of people on this thread exhibit classic behaviour towards a family member with problems. When he's little he's regarded as cheeky/difficult but cute, when he's older its teenage hiccups, and then he's just a bit of a lad. As an adult he has the choice of facing his problems or slipping into alcoholism/drug dependence. Harry's chosen to face them. And because he was made a public figure he's done it publicly and made cash from it. So now they think he's a nasty person. He's the same person he has always been.
