Just came here to say that the NY Post has to be the slimiest, most disreputable rag a person can “read”. Even accidentally reading an “article” from it makes me feel like I lost brain cells.

Maybe interviewing people who are not famous would be better. I had a traumatic childhood, as did many other people.
Why does it always have to be celebrities?

Why does it always have to be celebrities?

Very much to the point - well said.

Harry does not live in the real world as we understand it. If he did, he would not have even suggested interviewing such as Putin, Trump, etc. Way above his pay-load.

Unless he moves out of the rarefied environment of celebrities and the whole culture of celebrity psycho-babble, 'finding their true selves' etc, etc, and recognises that he's a mere mortal with no special gift or powers, he will continue to delude himself and irritate everyone else.

I think Harry needs a much better therapist than he has had before.

I'm putting it up for discussion which is what this site is for! some people don't seem to know that.

If you think somethings worthy of a discussion you obviously have an opinion though, as you’re not Gransnet HQ, here to tell the rest of us what you think should be discussed - go on, tell us!

I can only repeat here an edited para from a post I put on another thread

Their capacity for self-delusion and belief that they can change the world with platitudes, passes belief and it is beginning to place them among those who believe the world is run by reptiles. Presumably they will be the only members of the royal family who are not lizards.

To reword Callistemon's last sentence slightly.
He is just trying to exploit his own perceived traumatic upbringing for which he clearly needs professional, private help.

It is like watching a train crash happen from afar. One cannot but draw parallels between these two, Harry in particular, and people like Britney Spears, Drew Barrymore and other celebrities who have catastrophicly imploded, if those are not too senstive words to use at present.

Callistemon21 Fri 23-Jun-23 09:46:50

Do you think for one minute any of them would have agreed?

He was just trying to explore his own perceived traumatic upbringing for which he clearly needs professional, private help.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 23-Jun-23 09:37:27

Complete idiot with a vastly over-inflated idea of his abilities.

nanna8 Fri 23-Jun-23 09:16:55

I wouldn’t go anywhere near anything he was involved with. Thick as two short planks and deluded with it.

foxie48 Fri 23-Jun-23 09:15:14

Thank goodness they pulled the plug on that idea. The poor man is deluded if he thinks he could control an interview with any of them and why on earth would anyone want to give air time to Putin or Trump? Totally bonkers!

GrannyGravy13 Fri 23-Jun-23 08:57:50

We will never know how the interviews would have played out.

If Putin agreed the security would have been a nightmare so I imagine it would have been done remotely. (Putin’s ego is so over inflated he might have agreed to it)

I think the subject of childhood trauma and deeply damaged men in power is really interesting, Johnson and Trump for example, I think it would need experienced journalists to produce something of value on the subject.

Are you going to tell us what you think about it lemsip?

Prince Harry 'wanted to interview Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and Mark Zuckerberg about their upbringing and childhood traumas' - leaving Spotify execs scratching their heads before £15m podcast deal was scrapped.
