Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson, born on 5th July.

Guess which name was chosen by Boris?

I realise this may be of little interest to many, but there seems so much misery in the News…..

The arrival of a healthy, wanted child is always happy news, irrespective of the child's loathsome father.

Three wore me out, particularly when I went back to work full time. I suppose if you’ve got lots of money it’s much easier.

Mind you, my husband is one of 12.
And they adopted another one too.
His poor mother.

FannyCornforth Fri 14-Jul-23 09:08:20

Ten!
He’s got ten!

Nothing t9 do with us, but I think you’re right Maizie.

I think that a certain type of man these days see siring lots of children as some sort of status symbol.
Elon Musk has loads
<off to Google to check just how many>

Cossy

Babies are gorgeous and innocent. Cannot share the majority of excitement shown here, I wish none of Boris’ children ill however who knows how long this wife will last and judging by his previous wife having many children doesn’t guarantee longevity of marriage - sorry ! I detest the odious, lying, bumbling ex PM !

Many agree with your view of the untidy bumbling buffoon. Marina Wheeler certainly will

It really is time that Johnson had the snip....

I agree totally Fanny. it’s not even as if he’s a young man, and I’ve never been able to see what the ladies see in him. He’s now got a lovely new little family and three young children take a lot of energy, as I know from experience. Of course he can afford a nanny to help Carrie, and I expect her parents will want to be very involved. Sadly his own mother died recently so will never meet this latest addition and I’m not at all sure about his father as a grandfather hmm. It would be nice if the older Johnson children could rekindle a relationship with their father, but that may never happen. Or maybe it already has.

I hadn’t actually seen a photo until just now.
It is a lovely picture.
I just wish that Boris would give it all up to ‘spend more time with his family’.
We can but hope… 🙏

I don’t think it’s got anything to do with Carrie being a Catholic. It’s hardly headline news when a young woman in her thirties gets married and has a family. Whether or not BJ tuned into that when he embarked on his affair with her is anybody’s guess and nobody’s business. The picture I saw shows Carrie looking delighted with her new arrival and whether it’s a member of the royal family, Carrie Johnson, or some unknown (to the public) woman, I think it’s delightful to see new mothers and their tiny babies. Much better news whether in individual families or national news than the diet of doom and gloom we are normally subjected to.

I think she is devout only when it suits her…wink

Can’t help but feel that, when he embarked on an affair with her it didn’t dawn on him that she was a devout catholic and intended to churn out babies annually ( but men don’t take things like that into account do they…)

Erm, devout Catholic? I wasn't aware of any dispensation to have an affair with a married man who already had four children and a wife suffering from breast cancer. That must have passed me by.

Hope he turns out to be more decent and honourable than his father.

👍

Carrie looks very happy, I can’t grudge her that, although her husband’s fecundity is a poor example for all the parents being told to stop at 2 kids and not to have children they can’t afford!

I am quite jealous of Carrie’s pregnancies - she seems to put no weight on at all for the two months we know about her pregnancy! I suppose some people are like that.

And she looks lovely just after the birth as well.I looked a real old mess for weeks afterwards😬

Missiseff Wed 12-Jul-23 17:06:03

Born a week ago yet announced on the day Boris should've handed his phone over but didn't. Distraction tactics much.

Ramblingrose22 Wed 12-Jul-23 16:15:37

Boris has just been doing what he does best - 8 children and counting.....
Lying comes second as he came a- cropper with that at last.

Frankie has been quite a trendy name for the past 5 or 6 years actually. There are quite a few locally.

I thought the photos of Carrie and baby were beautiful and I particularly liked the one of Wilfred gently adjusting the new baby’s blanket.

Jaberwok Wed 12-Jul-23 14:16:24

The baby's name is Frank Alfred Odysseus, (No, it's not short for Francis,) to be known as Frankie. A new baby is always a joy, so best of luck to this one, his siblings and parents.

Fae1 Wed 12-Jul-23 14:06:15

😂 ..and spent ages trying to return home to claim his rightful place as king ! Chip off the old block perhaps - time will tell.

Those old names seem to be coming back. Our latest great grandson is Frederick,to be known as Freddie. He was born a couple of months ago

Freddie has been around for a while here, I know a couple of Freddiesin their early 20s.
It’s my dad’s name, so I’ve got a vested interest
I always said that if I had twin boys I’d call them Freddie and Spike
