Oh , not affecting us this time. They are down in Gippsland in the forests . Loch Sport area. Heavy rain is expected Tuesday so hopefully they will be put out then. I don’t know how they started this time because they were in deep bush areas though holiday makers had to leave .It was school holidays here until today. I never remember hearing of them this early before and as you say, global warming is probably the cause. My children who lost their house were also in Gippsland but in a different region, several years ago now.

MyDD is away on holiday so I hadn’t heard this news.
We visited just after the last devastating fires and it was so sad!
We have a photo of the planes collecting water from the lake behind her house but I can’t find it.
I’ll send a couple , one of the burnt forest and one of the beginning of the regeneration. It is amazing to see the trees coming back to life.
