When it comes down to money Arabs have no conscience or loyalties.

As long as the conflict doesn’t spread beyond Gaza it won’t affect oil supply beyond price changes

One of my close friends doesn’t practice the faith she grew up in but identifies as Jewish. Her grandmother escaped pogroms in Russia aged 17 and escorted her 14 year old sister to America. My friend’s daughter is a practicing Jew

I think that's part of the problem tickingbird, people can weirdly tend to see being Jewish as some form of choice. I just cant believe that if there had been a terrorist massacre of any other minority that there would be protests in the streets of the UK in support of the atrocities. I am so sorry for what is happening tickingbird.

Those sweeping generalised statements about Arabs and Muslims are so wrong and bordering on racist. Not all Muslims are arabs, and most do not have twisted ideology either, or come from Saudi or surrounding areas.

Oh the irony! No WE aren’t in the Middle Ages but large parts of the Muslim world are and as for bordering on racism, check your anti semitism - it’s showing.

As for choosing to be Jewish - you’re wrong again. I don’t follow any religion but I’m Jewish. If Hamas or any other such terrorist group gained power here or anywhere else I happened to be do you seriously think I’d get a pass?

Yes, they would not have to follow the faith if they choose not to.

It is according to Jewish Law and generally accepted although some Reformists accept it can be passed through the father's line too.

I remember my cousin telling me this and why.

I think the point is that children born to Jewish mothers have the right to choose whether to follow the Jewish faith.

We are not in the Middle Ages- the children will be Jewish if they wish to be, or not. THEIR choice.

Although not related to current events, I’d recommend The Islamist by Ed Husain. It goes some way to explaining radical Islam. I believe, if memory serves me, that the Saudis and their Wahhabism bankroll a lot of this twisted ideology.

It’s very complicated as the Arab world wouldn’t be peaceful even if every Jew were wiped off the face of the earth.

Rather a sweeping statement, Arabs can be Christian or Muslim, be born in lots of different countries etc. Surely a derogatory statement like this is as bad as some of the insults thrown at Jews, Catholics etc. Not helpful and totally inaccurate.

Maybe this is why people find it acceptable that the Palestinians in the Gaza concentration camp are treated in a sub human way? Because they’re ‘not like us’.

I don’t believe I or anyone I know does find it acceptable to treat anyone in a sub human way, different from us or not. However, behaving in a sub human manner most certainly is different from me and mine I’m proud to say.

Whether something is against international law or is a war crime is a matter of opinion whoever expresses it. The legal position can only be determined by a properly constituted court. Breach of an international treaty can be responded to by sanctions of all kinds and of course a state can withdraw from a treaty.

In my view claims about international law, etc., are often politically motivated, sometimes by aggressors to avoid the consequences of their actions.

That as I said at time was an error. This youtube Labour Files is a thoroughly reserched report about Labour dealings with its members, who they expelled and has many valid questions that need answers, all with
certain proof of facts before filming.

There is no question to my mind that is a wrong and illegal move by Israel.

I hope that Starmer explains his opinion.

Starmer won't explain his opinion he never does.
Whatever Israel do Starmer will always blame Hamas. Which a horrible position to have, he would not urge restraint for ongoing siege, very irresponsible.

Starmer expelled many including Jews who showed support for Palestinians.

He and most in party are members of Friends of Israel and the Israel lobby.

That doesn’t make cutting off their water and energy right, though. We’ve been meddling in the Middle East for decades now, treating it like some sort of game of chess. Dividing up borders, creating borders where there were non: preventing nomadic people from being nomads. I’m so upset about what’s happening; for the people on each side. Look at how we invaded Afghanistan and then just left them to be taken over by the Taliban. I remember travelling round Europe in my teens and we would cross borders that had been changed after WWII and there was still resentment; that’s when I realised that changing borders created problems. You mess with borders and you create problems for the future. One war leads to another war. As to what all this is doing to the environment. I just want to bury my head under a pillow and pretend it isn’t happening. It’s horrible.

I read today that if any Palestinian person tries to organise an election in Gaza ie to get rid of Hamas, that they are killed. They are in reality doubly imprisoned.. Living under Hamas rule must be terrifying, and not having the ability or choice to live elsewhere unthinable.. I imagine that if Egypt did open the border they would be besieged..

Probably correct but there will be a lot more casualties if Israel is forced to remove Hamas by invading Gaza

Israel has no choice but to move against Hamas, not to do so will leave them vulnerable to more barbarism from these terrorists.
