I wonder if it's to do with sharing the fear. I for one would be thrown off a building by hamas so it focuses the mind.
Bereavement wipes out everything
It’s being reported that Hamas has launched 400 plus rockets into Israel along with its men shooting Israeli civilians in the streets.
Israel has retaliated with extreme force, are we heading for yet another all out war in the Middle East?
I was scrolling X (Twitter) and found the most appalling video posted by Hamas showing a dead Israeli women, stripped naked and being driven around whilst her body is being abused.
I do not think I can ever remove those images from my brain, yet again women being abused/defiled by men as an act of war.
I wonder if it's to do with sharing the fear. I for one would be thrown off a building by hamas so it focuses the mind.
There are many unsubstantiated comments on this thread.
There are many downright LIES on this thread. Total, utter fabrication and it’s been going on for days and from the same poster.
The Jewish people interviewed on Sky News tonight that were marching today were saying how appalled they were by what the Israeli government were doing to the Palestinians.
Fleurpepper do you think that Jewish people would march alongside people chanting from the river to the sea ?
Do you know what that chant means?
Fleurpepper
Many on the March in London today were Jews from many different factions. They are against Netanyahu's extreme right policies, his apparent choice to ignore very clear intelligence- and his support of more and more illegal expansion. Those Jews know that it is his policies and bombing of innocent civilians told to flle that is putting them at huge risk.
And you know this, how?

Really Fleurpepper ?
I didn’t see any Jewish/Israeli flags
I assume you have seen the footage, seen the black flags with Jihadi slogans, the Hamas flags?

I hope they didnt see the paraglider motifs.
Do you have evidence for that, please, Fleurpepper?

We are here GG, no comfort I imagine but we are.

Iam64 my Jewish friends are frightened, for themselves, their children and their grandchildren.
There are 1,000’s on the streets in London in support of Palestinians, where is the support for the Jewish community?
I can tell you where they are, in their homes far too frightened to speak out.
I find this despicable in the U.K. in the 21st century …
I totally agree, Grannygravy13
It's hideous what is happening and appalling to read and hear people who are deaf and blind to what is going on.
My friend's 27 year old daughter lives in London and has a Jewish boyfriend. They are petrified.
I find this despicable in the U.K. in the 21st century …
So do I. It is shaming.
Lest we forget why
The Spectator is reporting that Iran has sent a message to Israel via the UN that if they continue with their assault in Gaza they will have to step in and defend the Palestinians.
This tells who is financing and arming Hamas

There is some indication that Egypt is negotiating to open the border to allow refugees out conditional on international funding.
Assuming Hamas will allow them to go.
I hope so
And that they will one day return to rebuild their country without the terrorists.
Sadly, millions of Syrians are still displaced years later and their country will not be rebuilt for the foreseeable future.

There must be an international massive effort to save the children.
I agree

The first glimmer of hope, let’s hope it’s true.

I completely agree with you.. the very least would be to send in supplies and tents

GrannyGravy13, thanks for your contributions to this discussion. I share the desperation for the Palestinian people. I find the demonising of Israel alienating. Hamas is a terrorist organisation. Israel has a democratic government. It’s a government I disagree with, as do my Jewish friends but I reject the claim by Fleurpepper that the Israeli government is terrorist.
No one can feel anything other than despair and distress as what’s happening to innocent Palestinian families. But I’ve seen no evidence that Netanyahu ignored intelligence. Those claims sit with the allegations /conspiracy theories that the US and ‘the Jews’ were responsible for 9/ll
A huge amount of demonising, is not about Israel, but about Netanyahu's policies and Government- mostly by Jews in and out of Israel. Those are a hugely put at risk but his policies and extreme right ideology.
GrannyGravy13
Where is the evidence that the Israeli Government had prior knowledge of the attacks?
I have seen rumours, but no hard evidence
There would have been security warnings as usual but they were overruled. Many wars start with a surprise attack, the US only entered WW2 after a surprise attack despite intelligence information.

The information that Egypt warned Israel about an impending incursion three days before it happened came from US government.
The evidence of this is absolutely clear. And the reason that so many Jews in Israel blame Netanyahu for 'allowing' the attacks to take place and doing absolutely nothing.
