They both deserve their CBEs. Rob for allowing access to his life through stages of his MND and Kevin for his tireless marathons in support of Rob and the MND charity.
It was so moving. For me, especially so because I lost my dear sister to MND four years ago. I am so grateful to these wonderful men who have raised millions for research into this horrible disease. Such courage, such strength, such love.
Well done William going to them, rather than expecting them to traipse up to London. Both men richly deserve their honours, a shining example of love, compassion and focus missing in many others.
This brought tears to my eyes, it was wonderful. Let's hope that the amazing amount of money raised soon leads to finding a cure for this awful disease.

The Prince of Wales, HRH Prince William, visited AMT Headingley Rugby Stadium today to conduct the investiture of Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield as they received the CBE's they were awarded in the New Year honours. Rhinos legends Burrow and Sinfield showed Prince William around their home ground and talked about their work to raise awareness and funds for the MND community Prince William asked both about their playing careers and was particularly interested in the work to build the Rob Burrow Centre for MND in Leeds, even promising Burrow that he would take up his offer of returning to Leeds in the future to help open the centre, which is due to begin construction this Spring And even more than a lump in my throat at the moving clip of Kevin Sinfield tenderly carrying his old teammate across the Leeds marathon finishing line?
